What are the symptoms of neuralgia?

Modern people are under great pressure from life and work, and some unexpected things happen to the body, which often make us feel caught off guard. Often this will cause some adverse reactions to the body. The most common feeling people have is headache. When a headache occurs, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment to avoid the problem becoming more serious. Headache has many symptoms, so we must pay attention.

Symptoms of neuralgic headaches

1. The main symptoms of neuralgic headache are persistent dull pain, pressure and heaviness in the head. Some patients complain that their heads feel like they are being "tightened" and are very uncomfortable. Most patients have headaches on both sides, mostly on the temporal sides, the occipital region, the top of the head or the entire head.

2. The nature of the headache is dull pain, distending pain, pressure, numbness and a tight feeling like a band.

3. The intensity of the headache is mild to moderate, and it is rare for the patient to be bedridden or have his or her daily life affected by the headache.

4. Some patients may have persistent headaches for many years, and some patients' symptoms can even be traced back 10-20 years. The patient may have headaches all day long, with headaches lasting longer than pain-free time.

5. Headaches are often aggravated by factors such as excitement, anger, insomnia, anxiety or depression. There are also some patients who not only have the characteristics of tension headache, but also have the clinical manifestations of vascular headache, and complain of bilateral temporal pulsating headache.

Headaches that have both tension headaches and vascular headaches are called mixed headaches.

6. Patients often have symptoms such as dizziness, irritability, anxiety, palpitations, shortness of breath, fear, tinnitus, insomnia, back pain, and neck stiffness. Some patients have obvious tenderness on both sides of the neck or temples.

Diet for neuralgic headaches

1. Eat on time. Skipping or delaying meals may cause headaches. Missing a meal can cause muscles to tense up, and when blood sugar drops from lack of food, blood vessels in the brain can constrict. When you eat again, it causes these blood vessels to dilate and trigger a headache.

2. Eat less salt. For some people, high salt intake may cause migraines.

3. Eat more starchy foods. Eat more starchy foods, such as rice, potatoes, biscuits or bread. Although wheat products are problem foods for some people who have migraines, if you can tolerate them, they may actually help.

4. Avoid eating foods that cause headaches. Recent studies have allowed us to more accurately identify which foods are problematic or therapeutic. First of all, prevention is the best cure. Let us first find out the foods that may cause neuralgia so that we can avoid them.

5. Say no to chocolate. Chocolate is not only easy to make you fat, it also contains tyramine, which is the main suspected cause of headaches. Fortunately, many young people have developed a tolerance to this chemical reaction.

In addition, drupes and aged cheese also contain tyramine and should be avoided.

7. Foods that do not cause pain include: brown rice, cooked or dried fruits: cherries, bayberries, pears, prunes, cooked green, yellow and orange vegetables: artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, beets, green leafy vegetables, lettuce, spinach, beans, zucchini, cassava and taro. Water: tap water, mineral water or carbonated water. And certain beverages, even herbal teas, can trigger migraines. Seasoning: a small amount of salt, syrup, vanilla extract, etc.
