How do babies come out during normal birth?

In fact, everyone knows that the way women give birth is affected by many factors. Whether the child can be born naturally is also subject to many conditions. However, natural birth is better for the health of the child and the recovery of the pregnant woman. Therefore, we can also learn more about the whole process of natural birth before giving birth. This will also have a good effect on eliminating some prenatal anxiety.

1. First, at the end of labor (about 38 weeks of pregnancy), the fetal head enters the pelvic cavity. At this time, the fetal head (occipital part) and body (back) are facing the left or right front of the mother. After delivery, as the fetal head descends, the fetal head will lower its head (flexion) and (extension). At this time, with the help of the midwife, the front shoulders are born, and then the posterior shoulders, followed by the fetal body and limbs. It should be noted that before entering the delivery room, the expectant mother needs to prepare the skin, that is, shave off the hair in the perineum. At the time of delivery, the purpose of skin preparation is to reduce the number of skin bacteria without damaging the integrity of the skin, thereby reducing the rate of postoperative incision infection.

2. As the fetal head descends, the mucosal folds of the inner layer of the vagina are completely flattened, the vulva expands, and the pelvic floor muscle layer relaxes and fully expands, so as to facilitate the fetus to leave the uterine cavity, pass through the vagina and vulva, come into the world, and complete delivery.

3. In addition, due to the slow and insufficient expansion of the perineum and the great resistance, it may cause fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal intracranial hemorrhage, etc., which is not good for the baby. Therefore, if episiotomy can be performed in time, the above-mentioned sequelae will not occur, and it will be beneficial to both the mother and the fetus.

Precautions

1. During the period, try to relax your muscles and rest as much as possible during the intervals between contractions to conserve your energy. If conditions permit, ask the doctor to provide analgesia when the cervix is dilated to 2 cm.

2. Do a good job of prenatal check-up to ensure your own health and choose to give birth on your own according to the doctor's advice. Take responsibility for yourself and your baby.
