How to remove the dark belly button after childbirth

How to remove the dark belly button after childbirth

For many new mothers, they will find that their belly buttons become darker after giving birth. In fact, this is closely related to the endocrine system during pregnancy. Because the androgen level in the body is relatively high, this will cause pigmentation. As the body gradually recovers, this phenomenon will gradually improve. Of course, if the recovery is not particularly good, you can go to a regular beauty institution for corresponding treatment after your body is fully recovered.

New mothers also need to pay attention to the following points:

1. Massage the uterus.

The purpose of massaging the uterus is to help the uterus recover and discharge lochia, and it can also prevent postpartum hemorrhage caused by poor contraction. New mothers can feel a hard lump under their belly button, which is the location of the uterus. New mothers can use their palms to massage the uterus in a circular motion with a little force to make the uterus harden, which means the uterus is contracting well. If you experience severe uterine pain during massage, you should stop the massage and lie prone to relieve the pain. If the pain persists, you should notify your doctor in time to observe whether there are any abnormal symptoms.

2. Observe the lochia.

Within three days after delivery, lochia will be discharged in large quantities and in red color. After that, the color of lochia gradually fades and the amount decreases. Lochia usually turns light yellow 10 days after delivery and disappears completely about a month after delivery. When observing lochia, if new mothers find abnormal phenomena such as large blood clots, foul odor or blood flowing out, they should immediately notify medical staff for treatment.

3. Have bowel movements in a timely manner.

Due to the pain in the perineal wound and the damage and compression of the bladder and urethra during delivery, you may experience pain and a feeling of incomplete urination when urinating after delivery. This is normal. Within 2 hours after delivery, the mother should endure the pain and urinate. If she cannot get out of bed, she can use a urinal to defecate in bed with the help of medical staff or family members.

4. Get out of bed and move around.

When a new mother gets out of bed for the first time, it is best to have assistance from family members or medical staff, because the new mother may feel dizzy due to postural hypotension, anemia, or low blood sugar caused by fasting. When a new mother gets out of bed, she should move slowly and sit on the edge of the bed first. If she does not feel dizzy, she can get out of bed. If you have just had a caesarean section, you can use a belly belt to support your abdomen to relieve the pain of the wound.

5. Adjust your mood.

Due to the effects of hormones after childbirth and the unfamiliarity with caring for a newborn, new mothers may feel overwhelmed and easily suffer from emotional tension. Coupled with body pain and poor sleep quality, new mothers are prone to low moods and even symptoms of depression. Therefore, family members must ensure that the mother gets adequate rest, help take care of the baby, and watch over the mother. New mothers should also adjust their emotions reasonably and not get angry or sad easily over trivial matters.
