Why is women's urine cloudy?

For women, the color of healthy urine should be light yellow and transparent. If you find that the urine is turbid at this time, it may be caused by bacterial infection, because bacterial infection often causes salt crystals to precipitate. Of course, if turbidity appears occasionally, don't worry, it may be caused by drinking less water, but if this phenomenon occurs frequently, you should be alert.

Why is women's urine cloudy?

1. Urate precipitation

When concentrated acidic urine is cooled, light red urate may precipitate, which can be dissolved when heated or with the addition of alkali. This situation is more common in cold weather.

2. Phosphate and carbonate precipitation

If the urine is alkaline, phosphates or carbonates may precipitate in white color and can be dissolved by adding acid. Carbonates can produce bubbles when they meet acid.

3. Urinary tract infection

It is mainly related to the growth of urinary tract bacteria, the appearance of pyuria, white blood cells, and milky white urine.

4. Chylous urine

It is white chyle-like urine, which is seen in obstruction of the perirenal lymphatic vessels caused by filariasis or other reasons, which is easy to identify with the naked eye.

Causes of cloudy urine

1. Physiological phenomenon

It can be said that the reason why many people have turbid urine and other conditions has a lot to do with normal physiological phenomena. Of course, it may also be caused by disease, so a conclusion can only be drawn based on the test results.

It is normal for urine to be clear when first discharged and then become turbid after being left for a while. Because normal human urine is clear and transparent when fresh, and otherwise it is light yellow or colorless. However, after being left for a period of time, the various salts in the urine will crystallize out, causing the urine to become turbid.

This is because the urine is concentrated, which can be said to be a normal physiological phenomenon. However, if there is a large amount of sediment or the turbidity is very serious, you should be vigilant and go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

2. Urinary tract infection

Patients with urinary tract infections will also experience varying degrees of urine turbidity during the illness. It can be said that abnormal urine color is closely related to urinary tract infections. Especially for patients who have symptoms such as urgency and frequency when urinating, it can be judged that they have urinary tract infection.

For these patients, they must pay attention to developing good hygiene habits in daily life, and take various medicines under the guidance of a doctor.

In addition, for patients with urinary tract infection, they should also develop the habit of drinking more water in daily life, which can effectively play a therapeutic role. At the same time, you should also pay attention to eating less spicy food to avoid making the symptoms worse.

3. Kidney disease

Kidney diseases can also cause turbid urine and other conditions. Therefore, patients must pay special attention to this in their daily lives. It is best to develop the habit of going to the hospital for regular physical examinations, so as to better prevent kidney disease.
