Symptoms of Liver Qi Stagnation in Women

If a woman has liver depression and qi stagnation, it will often have a great impact on her health. First of all, from the facial skin color, the skin will often be dark yellow, and may even cause the appearance of some acne. She will often look haggard, have a bad complexion, and be prone to chloasma and freckles, etc. In addition, it is also easy to cause gynecological problems in women, such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, etc.

Symptoms of Liver Qi Stagnation in Women

Some women are not very old, but their faces are haggard, dull and yellow. If the spleen and stomach are weak, the complexion will easily turn yellow. The reason for an abnormal complexion is that some people are on an excessive diet, while some people have a bad stomach and their digestion and absorption functions are weakened, which leads to malnutrition or imbalance, and then the spleen and stomach become weak. Among the five internal organs, the spleen is closely related to complexion, and the liver can also affect changes in complexion.

In addition to bad complexion, some people also have chloasma or ecchymosis on their faces. Ecchymosis is called liver spots in traditional Chinese medicine, which is caused by stagnation of liver qi. The appearance of ecchymosis is also related to kidney health. This is because Chinese medicine believes that the kidney is the heaven of the five internal organs and the innate foundation, so the manifestations of many diseases are closely related to the kidney. What Chinese medicine considers kidney deficiency is called endocrine disorders in Western medicine. Endocrine disorders can cause poor complexion, chloasma, butterfly spots, etc., especially in people who are approaching menopause but not menopause.

The liver belongs to the element of wood in the five elements. Excessive liver qi will suppress the spleen and stomach, causing a chain reaction. In addition, bad mood, too much stress, and irregular menstruation can cause liver depression and qi stagnation, resulting in a dark yellow complexion. People with liver qi stagnation are generally introverted and prone to sulking. They often experience chest tightness, poor appetite, and sometimes a bloated lower abdomen, especially before menstruation, and are prone to hiccups. Liver qi stagnation is very common among middle-aged women. There is a saying in Traditional Chinese Medicine that one should treat the kidneys in early years, regulate the liver in middle age, and strengthen the spleen in old age.

How to get a good complexion

If you have spleen deficiency, drink some yam and lotus seed porridge. In addition to a balanced and nutritious diet, some medicated foods can also be chosen. I often recommend yam and lotus seed porridge, and add red dates and longan to it for people with blood deficiency. Donkey-hide gelatin is a famous medicinal ingredient for replenishing blood, but using it in large quantities can have a negative impact on the spleen and stomach functions and affect appetite. In fact, most people can just use ordinary medicated food. People with severe anemia can use some donkey-hide gelatin. Steam the dates and donkey-hide gelatin together. Once the donkey-hide gelatin is heated, it will melt together with the red dates and taste better.

If you have liver stagnation, try Wuhua Tea. People who are in a bad mood or under a lot of pressure can try "Five Flower Tea". Rose, rose, and green plum blossom are all good choices. If you don’t have diabetes, you can add some rock sugar. Rose can relieve liver and depression. In addition to relieving liver and depression, rose also has the effect of activating blood circulation and harmonizing qi and blood. You can drink rose, Chinese rose and green plum blossom alternately, or you can drink one or two at the same time, or you can add some roasted malt. If you have poor sleep caused by liver depression, you can make a drink by soaking some julibrissin flowers in water.

People with kidney deficiency eat more black foods. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that black enters the kidneys, so black sesame, black beans, and black rice are all good for nourishing the kidneys, especially black sesame, which is very effective in nourishing the kidneys and hair. In addition, walnut kernels are also a good choice. Liuwei Dihuang Pills can be chosen as Chinese patent medicine. If you have tinnitus, there is a ready-made medicine called Erlong Zuoci Pills, which is also a prescription made up of Liuwei Dihuang Pills with a few extra medicines.
