How is rheumatoid arthritis treated? Rheumatoid therapy

Rheumatoid arthritis is becoming more and more common nowadays, but the treatment of this disease is not as difficult as everyone imagines. For this disease, we mainly use three treatment methods, including surgical treatment and drug therapy, to alleviate the condition. Each patient's condition is different, so the best treatment method is naturally different.

1.Surgical treatment Surgical treatment mainly refers to various surgical treatment methods, which should not be tried lightly. In the past, it was believed that surgery was only suitable for advanced cases of deformity. Currently, early synovectomy can be tried for patients with only 1-2 severely damaged joints who have not responded to salicylate treatment. In the later stage, when the disease stops, osteotomy can be performed if there is significant deformation of the joint. Arthroplasty or artificial joint replacement can be performed if the joint is ankylosing or destroyed. Weight-bearing joints can undergo arthrodesis, etc.

2. Physical therapy. Physical therapy is followed by massage to improve local circulation and relieve muscle spasms. The purpose of training is to maintain joint mobility and increase muscle strength and endurance. After the pain is reduced during the acute period, the patient only needs to have a certain tolerance and perform regular self-training on the joints in the early stages.

3. Drug treatment : (a) Salicylate: Aspirin is still the first choice drug for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. (ii) Indomethacin: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which has better effect and has strong analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. (III) Ibuprofen: Its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects are more than 10 times stronger than aspirin, and its side effects are less than aspirin.
