Here are some recommended diets that are suitable for removing dampness and heat.

Coix seeds clear away heat and dampness

Coix seed has the characteristics of being cold in nature and can enter the spleen, lung, and kidney meridians. "Compendium of Materia Medica" says that it can: "replenish the lungs and clear away heat, dispel wind and dampness, nourish the skin and maintain beauty, lighten the body and prolong life." In other words, coix seed can clear away heat and tonify the lungs, strengthen the spleen and stomach, dispel wind and dampness, whiten the skin, and reduce fat and lose weight. It can effectively fight against various diseases caused by damp heat, such as diarrhea, obesity, athlete's foot and abnormal leucorrhea in women.

Usage for removing dampness and heat: Take 100 grams of coix seeds, wash them clean, and soak them in a small amount of cold water for 1 night or half a day. After soaking, pour it into the pot, add 600-800 ml of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until the coix seeds are blooming and cooked, and become porridge-like. Take once a day, can be eaten regularly.

Efficacy: Strengthen the spleen and remove dampness, clear away heat and suppuration, reduce swelling and lose weight, and whiten the skin.

Note: Although coix seed is good, it should not be used too much. About 20 grams each time is enough, or you can choose according to the doctor's advice. It is not suitable for pregnant women and people with constipation and frequent urination, because the cold effect of coix seed will affect the development of the fetus; the diuretic and dehumidifying effect of coix seed will lead to frequent urination, reduce the body fluid in the intestines, make it dry, and aggravate the symptoms of constipation.

Mung beans clear away heat and detoxify

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that mung beans are sweet in taste, cold in nature, and can enter the triple burner meridian. They have the effects of reducing swelling and ventilating, clearing heat and detoxifying, diuresis, and anti-allergic. They have been a good medicine for clearing heat and detoxifying since ancient times, and can also be used to clear damp heat.

Usage for removing dampness and heat: 50-100 grams of mung beans, a pot of boiling water, wash the mung beans first, drain the water and pour into the pot, add boiling water, the amount of water should be about 2 cm above the mung beans, boil over high heat, then change to medium heat, when the water in the pot is almost dry, change to medium heat again, when the water in the pot is almost dry, add 1000 ml of boiling water, turn to low heat, cover and cook for about 20 minutes or until the mung beans are soft, 1 dose per day, can be used in divided doses.

Efficacy: diuretic and dehumidifying, clearing away heat and detoxifying, ventilating and reducing swelling, beautifying the skin.

Note: Since mung beans are cold in nature, people with weak constitutions should avoid eating them blindly to avoid diarrhea or reduced immunity of the digestive system. Generally speaking, it is appropriate for each person to eat 15-30 grams of mung beans per day, and the limit for large doses is 120 grams.

Buckwheat removes heat and dampness

The medicinal effects of buckwheat are very ideal. It has many effects such as strengthening the spleen and stomach, clearing away heat and detoxifying, promoting diuresis and reducing swelling, lowering qi and calming the mind, clearing the intestines and promoting bowel movements, eliminating wind pain, anti-inflammation, anti-allergy, anti-virus and anti-cancer. Regular consumption can also delay aging and beautify the skin.

Usage for removing dampness and heat: 20-30 grams of buckwheat rice, 250 grams of rice. Wash the buckwheat slightly and soak it in a little cold water for about 20 minutes. Wash the rice clean and pour it into the rice cooker together with the buckwheat. Add appropriate amount of clean water and cook the rice as usual. After the automatic tripping, wait for about 10 minutes before opening the pot and eating. Once a day.

Efficacy: clears heat and removes dampness, strengthens the spleen and stomach, clears the intestines and promotes bowel movements, is anti-inflammatory and detumescent, and is anti-allergic. Note: Buckwheat cannot be used to completely replace staple food. For example, it is said in Compendium of Materia Medica: Eating too much bitter buckwheat can damage the stomach, cause wind and anger, and can cause various diseases. People with jaundice should especially avoid it. Therefore, you should also pay attention to the dosage. The buckwheat used in the recipe is for 2-3 people. If one person consumes it, 10-15 grams per day is appropriate.
