What to do if blisters and itching occur after applying Sanfu plaster

There are actually many reasons for skin blistering or itching, and sometimes it does not necessarily mean a disease. For example, some friends choose to use the traditional Chinese medicine Sanfu paste to regulate their bodies, but after applying it for a few days, they find that their skin is blistered and itchy. What is the reason for this? In fact, this situation mainly occurs because some of the drugs in the Sanfu paste will penetrate the skin and cause skin discomfort.

Experts say that most people will feel local heat and itching after applying the Sanfu plaster, which is a normal reaction. This is mainly because Sanfutie uses pungent, warm and fragrant drugs, which help the drug penetrate into the skin. Therefore, it may also cause allergic reactions such as redness, itching and even blisters on our skin.

Some people will develop blisters on the affected area two hours after applying the mask. This often happens to people with delicate skin. It should be noted that some people are not only allergic to drugs, but even adhesive tape can cause certain irritation to their skin. Such friends are not suitable for Sanfutie.

If the skin at the applied area feels burning or painful, you should remove the ointment in time and wash it gently with clean water. Scratching is strictly prohibited. It will usually heal on its own. If bubbling occurs, it is generally sterile and there is no need to worry.

If the blister is small, you don't need to pay attention to it, it will absorb by itself; if the blister is large, it may be very uncomfortable and itchy. You can first prick the blister with a sterilized needle, then use cotton wool to absorb the water that flows out, then disinfect it with iodine, and then apply some gentian violet, and then dry it. Remember not to tear off the epidermis.

After applying the Sanfu plaster, blisters will usually form scabs and fall off after a week. It has been observed that people who blister have better therapeutic effects because such people have better drug penetration and absorption. There is a kind of moxibustion method in ancient Chinese medicine called scar moxibustion, which requires blistering at the moxibustion site to achieve the best therapeutic effect.
