Varicose capillaries in the lower leg

Varicose capillaries in the lower leg

The legs of a normal person should have smooth skin, with almost no visible blood vessels, as the blood vessels are all inside the thick skin and cannot be seen. However, on some people's skin, you can clearly see a winding vein protruding, as if it were swollen. This symptom is capillary varicose veins, also commonly known as varicose veins. It occurs when the veins in the legs begin to expand and swell, and need to be regulated through appropriate methods.

Treatment of varicose veins

1. Elastic stockings: Choose professional ones under the guidance of a doctor. Varicose vein socks should be worn correctly, and you should also pay attention to rest, taking a few minutes break every 30 to 60 minutes.

2. Palliative treatment: Suitable for pregnant women, clinical manifestations of mild vascular protrusions, the elderly or those in poor general condition who cannot undergo surgery. Patients should rest in bed appropriately, raise the affected limb, avoid standing for long periods of time, and reduce activities. Superficial venous hypertension is caused by muscle contraction.

3. Drug treatment: The drug is mainly suitable for: varicose vein patients with aggravated pain, temporary control of the condition, to relieve pain, reduce edema, pain, complications such as acid storm. It is not suitable for long-term use. The patient's venous valve function is irreversibly damaged and cannot be repaired by drugs. Surgery is still required for a complete cure.

Varicose vein health care methods

1. Foot bath: Soaking your feet in hot water, especially washing your feet in water boiled with ginger or chili, can quickly expand the capillary network of the human respiratory mucosa and speed up blood circulation, so that the white blood cells in the blood in the respiratory mucosa can promptly eliminate the bacteria and viruses that invade the human body, thus protecting the human body from infection. People who stand frequently are prone to varicose veins in the lower limbs. Foot bath can speed up blood circulation in the legs and make the venous blood in the legs return to the right heart in time, which is beneficial to reduce venous congestion in the legs and prevent varicose veins in the lower limbs. In addition, soaking your feet in hot water before going to bed can help calm your mind, relieve worries, induce hypnosis, and make your sleep deeper and sweeter.

2. Foot massage: After washing your feet, rub your hands to warm them up, and gently knead the relevant parts or acupoints. You can massage the entire foot or just a part of it, such as the Domo Yongquan point (sole of the foot), Taichong point (behind the first and second toe joints), or Taixi point (in the depression between the highest point of the inner ankle and the Achilles tendon). It has preventive and therapeutic effects on dizziness, insomnia, anorexia, dull complexion, fatigue, hypertension, constipation, etc.

3. Lift your feet: Lift your feet 2-3 times a day, level with or above the heart. This will increase blood circulation in the feet and legs, and the blood in the lower limbs will flow back to the lungs and heart faster, allowing for adequate circulation. This will allow the head to get sufficient and fresh blood and oxygen, and it will also be a benign stimulation to the acupuncture points and reflex areas of the feet.

4. Rub the calf: Hold one side of the calf tightly with both palms, rub it while rotating, rub each side about 20 times, and then rub the other leg in the same way. This method can enhance leg strength.

5. Bending the feet: Sit down, stretch your legs, lower your head, bend your body forward, and use your hands to bend your toes and ankle joints 20-30 times each. This can exercise your foot strength and prevent weak legs and feet.

6. Twist your knees: Place your feet parallel and close together, bend your knees and squat slightly. Place your hands on your knees and rotate your knees in a circle back and forth, left and right, first to the left and then to the right, about 20 times each. It can treat lower limb fatigue and knee joint pain.
