The difference between internal and external hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids can make people restless and even cause great pain. Severe bleeding can cause our underwear to be stained red. It can seep into the outer layer and get on the clothes, which is very embarrassing. In fact, hemorrhoids are divided into two types. Internal hemorrhoids grow inside and have spurting bleeding, while external hemorrhoids appear on the outside and have a little blood secretion, but when the condition is serious, there will be pain or swelling.

☆There are three types of hemorrhoids: external hemorrhoids, internal hemorrhoids, and mixed hemorrhoids. First, let me introduce external hemorrhoids;

It is caused by the dilation of the veins at the end of the rectum, or inflammation of the skin at the edge of the anus and hyperplasia of connective tissue, which forms a lump. It is located outside the anus and is not easy to bleed. The symptoms include: pain, itching, foreign body sensation, and difficulty in defecation.

External hemorrhoids cannot heal themselves, and the most ideal treatment is surgery to remove them. In addition, daily care is also very important, and you should avoid sitting for long periods of time.

?Keep the anus clean and hygienic; pay attention to controlling your diet, eat more vegetables and whole grains rich in dietary fiber, and avoid spicy food; these small habits can effectively prevent the occurrence of external hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoids are a cluster of veins that form due to the dilation of the internal veins, which are located inside the anus. Initially, its symptoms include painless bleeding in the stool, mostly dripping during bowel movements.

If the condition worsens further, the hemorrhoids will grow larger and larger, and will protrude from the anus during bowel movements, and the amount of bleeding will increase significantly.

Internal hemorrhoids are difficult to cure, so prevention is the main approach. First of all, you should pay attention to cleanliness. After each bowel movement, it is best to wipe it gently with a clean wet tissue or clean the anus with clean water before going to bed every day. Ensuring the cleanliness of the anus is the first step in preventing internal hemorrhoids.

In addition, sitz bath is also an effective way to prevent internal hemorrhoids: add appropriate amount of warm water to the bathtub, slowly sit in the water, bend your knees, relax your whole body, open your anus as far as possible to contact with the warm water, which can not only cleanse, but also promote blood circulation and play a role in activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

There is also a more complicated type of hemorrhoids, which is a mixed hemorrhoid that combines external hemorrhoids and internal hemorrhoids. It is also the most serious type of hemorrhoids. Symptoms include bloody stools, itching, pain, a foreign body sensation, and mucus overflowing from the anus. In the late stage, due to the enlargement of the hemorrhoids, they may protrude from the anus, causing great inconvenience to the patient's life.

The treatment of internal hemorrhoids can be surgery, laser and other physical therapies; daily home treatment is also necessary. Buy topical creams and ointments to apply to the affected area. Corticosteroid creams and creams containing lidocaine can relieve pain. You can also wipe the affected area with a cotton swab dipped in witch hazel toner, which can also effectively relieve hemorrhoids.

?In addition, physical exercise and doing more pelvic floor exercises when you have nothing to do can effectively prevent hemorrhoids. In short, only by taking action on daily diet and lifestyle habits can you effectively prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids. If you don’t want to be tortured by hemorrhoids, make changes quickly.
