Can skin atrophy and depression be cured?

Skin atrophy and depression refers to a disease manifestation of the epidermis, dermis, or subcutaneous tissue, which will cause these tissues or one tissue to appear smaller and thinner. The causes are different. The harm caused is relatively large, especially the impact on the face is relatively large, and it is more closely related to age. This symptom caused by skin aging does not require treatment. If it is caused by disease, the primary disease should be actively treated.

Can skin atrophy and depression be cured? 1. If the atrophy is caused by aging or drugs, no treatment is required. Just stop taking the suspected drugs and the elderly can just take normal skin care. 2. If skin atrophy is caused by a disease, such as discoid lupus erythematosus, the primary disease needs to be actively treated.

3. Generally speaking, changing the disease has no effect on physical health. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, it is nothing more than related to the local skin losing the warmth of yang energy or the loss of moisture of qi and blood due to qi and blood stagnation. The inner thigh is where the three yin meridians of the foot pass. You can massage along the three meridians before going to bed every day, and focus on pressing or massaging the acupoints when you encounter them, especially some acupoints that are sunken and you don't feel much, in which case you should focus on pressing and massaging them. 10 to 15 minutes is enough for each meridian.

4. If accompanied by fear of coldness all over the body, you can use moxibustion on the Zusanli, Shenshu, Mingmen, etc. The course of the disease is relatively long, the patient has no feeling when touched, and most of the symptoms are due to deficiency. No matter acupuncture, moxibustion, or massage, even if it is effective, it will not be seen in the short term. Therefore, self-massage is recommended. Even if it does not help cure the disease, it is beneficial to the body if you persist in it for a long time.

Clinical manifestations 1. Epidermal atrophy The number of epidermal cell layers decreases and becomes thinner. For example, the epidermis of the elderly is thin and wrinkled. The subepidermal blood vessels can be pushed and are easy to see, but the skin texture remains the same. Atrophy caused by disease or trauma, such as discoid lupus erythematosus, has a smooth surface and loses its skin texture. 2. Dermal atrophy: The connective tissue in the papillary or reticular layers is reduced, and the skin may be sunken, but the surface appearance is normal and the skin wrinkles still exist. 3. Atrophy of the epidermis and dermis When both the epidermis and dermis atrophy, the epidermis becomes thin and transparent, and the blood vessels underneath can be seen. The skin wrinkles completely disappear and the skin is easily pushed. 4. Atrophy of subcutaneous tissue. People with atrophy of subcutaneous tissue will have skin atrophy, such as lipodystrophy. People with atrophy of both dermis and subcutaneous tissue will have progressive necrosis of lipoid disease. The skin in the loose and atrophic type bulges like a hernia or balloon due to the loss of elastic fibers, and it becomes concave like a bag when pressed with fingers. 5. Some other atrophy occurs as a physiological phenomenon. Abuse of corticosteroids can lead to skin atrophy, including oral, topical or intradermal injection.
