Palmar pustulosis is a relatively common disease. It belongs to a type of pustular psoriasis. It is quite harmful to patients and often leads to chronic attacks and repeated attacks. The cause is not particularly obvious at present. This disease mostly occurs on the palms and soles, and often leads to thickening of the stratum corneum of the skin and the appearance of dark red. In addition to regular treatment, you should pay attention to diet adjustment. Disease introduction: Palmoplantar pustulosis often occurs in batches on the thenar and hypothenar eminences or the soles of the feet, with numerous yellowish pustules ranging in size from needle-tips to millet-sized pustules, and the bases are flushed. After about 1-2 weeks, the pustules burst, form scabs, and peel off. Later, small pustules appear under the scales, which may be mild or severe, and the patient may feel itchy or painful. The nails may be affected, appearing cloudy, thickened, and having ridge-like protrusions. These patients often have psoriasis lesions on other parts of the body. The disease is more common in people aged 30 to 50 years old and is more common in women than in men. Clinical manifestations: The initial symptoms of palmoplantar pustulosis are often limited to one area, with thickening of the keratinized layer of the skin, dark red color, bran-like scales, and no subjective symptoms. Later, the skin lesions gradually expand, local congestion is obvious, and blisters of varying numbers, ranging from the tip of a needle to its depth, often appear in batches, accompanied by moderate or severe itching. The blisters gradually grow larger, and small yellow spots appear in the centers of some of them. The yellow spots quickly expand outward to form pustules. At this time, the itching is relieved. After 5 to 7 days, the blisters and pustules are absorbed, the epidermis thickens, hardens and loses elasticity, and becomes flaky and scaly. It is free around and fixed in the center. Cracks occur on the edges and center, causing local pain and intensified activity. The epidermis of palmoplantar pustulosis falls off, revealing a red, tender and thin epidermis underneath. When the lesion is severe, it becomes a punctate erosive surface with a lot of exudate. Later, blisters and pustules will appear under the epidermis, and the disease will recur repeatedly, with the remission period varying in length. Clinically, it is found that in addition to the palms and soles, the disease may also cause rashes on the dorsum of the feet, calves, knees, backs of hands, elbows, etc., and in very rare cases, it may even be accompanied by a scattered rash all over the body. Various external stimuli, such as premenstrual period and autonomic dysfunction, can trigger the onset of the disease and worsen the condition.Eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and potatoes A. Eating more vegetables, fruits and potatoes plays a very important role in maintaining the cardiovascular health of psoriasis patients, enhancing disease resistance and reducing the occurrence of cancer. B. There are many kinds of vegetables with high nutritional value. They are rich in carotene, vitamin B2, vitamin C and folic acid, minerals, dietary fiber and natural antioxidants. C. Fruits are rich in glucose, fruit acid, citric acid, malic acid and pectin. Red and yellow fruits are also rich in vitamin C and carotene, such as fresh dates, citrus, persimmons and apricots. D. Potato foods are rich in starch, dietary fiber, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. However, in recent years, psoriasis patients have eaten fewer potatoes. They should eat more potatoes to supplement the nutrients they lack in this aspect. |
