How to recover quickly from tailbone pain

Although the coccyx is not an essential structure in terms of anatomy, it can be very uncomfortable if it is injured. Some victims may not even be able to lie down or sit down during the acute phase, and defecation may cause severe pain. There are many important parasympathetic nerve plexuses around the coccyx, so nerve damage is the most common complication, which is also a key point in treatment. 1. Treatment methods

1. Manually reposition the coccyx, which is the main method used to treat coccyx injuries.

The treatment begins with the combined force of two fingers. The four fingers of one hand are on the right side of the coccyx as the support point of force, and the thumb of the other hand is placed on the left side of the dislocated coccyx as the focus of reduction. Then, gently and repeatedly rub and push to the right side. The temperature of the muscle tissue is increased through touch, and the meridians are expanded. As the metabolism of the surrounding muscle tissue accelerates, the dislocated coccyx is gradually moved to the right and reduced in position. The coccyx vertebrae not only have small joints and a dense nervous system, but are also not connected to other tissues; they are an independent tissue. Reduction treatment is gradual and must not be done in one step. Excessive force can easily cause new trauma, with disastrous consequences. The vertebrae of the coccyx are fragile, and no tools can be used to reduce the vertebrae. It can only be done by gently kneading and pushing with two fingers. Therefore, the method used during reduction is extremely important.

2. In order to enhance the therapeutic effect and meet the needs of the coccyx for qi and blood, we selected the effective acupoints of kidney point, bladder point and Dazhui point (bone meeting). These three acupoints are the key points leading to the kidneys. Pressing these acupoints helps regulate kidney qi, speed up the flow of qi and blood, and promote metabolism in the injured part of the coccyx. From the perspective of yin and yang properties, the Shenshu and Dazhui points belong to the kidney meridian, which is yin, and the Bladdershu point belongs to the bladder meridian, which is yang. Pressing these two points can promote the yin and yang balance of the internal organs; then, the Lungshu and Large Intestineshu points can be selected. The Lung Point and Large Intestine Point lead directly to the lungs and large intestine, and are important acupoints for transporting qi and blood to them. The lung and kidney represent a mother-child relationship in terms of the five elements. The two acupoints, Lung Shu in the Lung Meridian and Large Intestine Shu in the Large Intestine Meridian, are selected to "replenish the child with the mother". Only when the mother is healthy can the child be prosperous, thus strengthening the kidney Qi, facilitating the sufficiency of kidney Qi, and nourishing the kidney.

2. Precautions

1. Keep rubbing the Bladder Meridian acupoint.

The Baliao points are located at the upper end of the coccyx, in the first, second, third, and fourth posterior sacral foramina, with a total of eight points on the left and right. They are important points for treating low back pain, cold feet, and coccyx pain. As we age, various functions of the human body decline, especially the coccyx. Therefore, before going to bed every day, use your hands or tools to rub the coccyx and the Baqiao acupoint up and down to make the vertebral body of the coccyx and the Baqiao acupoint warm, which will speed up the blood circulation at the bottom and help the health of the spine and coccyx.

2. Do more standing activities.

In the modern comfortable living and working environment, computers, mahjong, television, etc. have become a very important part of work and life. The time spent sitting and lying down has increased, and the time spent standing has decreased, which causes the coccyx to often be in a squeezed and tense working state. Therefore, you should stand up and move your waist every once in a while to relax your coccyx for a while and give the coccyx the "freedom" to rest properly.

3. Adhere to self-regulation

Anal lifting is a good way to keep fit and also a good way to promote self-movement of the coccyx. The anus and coccyx are separated by only a "wall", and they interact and influence each other, making them good companions that cannot be separated for a moment.
