It has a wide range of clinical applications and few side effects, and is a Chinese medicine with great development prospects. There is a folk remedy that says that using hornets and their hives to make wine to treat rheumatism is effective. Wasp hives are also effective in treating allergic rhinitis, and their venom has medicinal value. In addition, boiling the hornet's nest that has been soaked in wine in water and then using it for bathing can also enhance the body's resistance.

Wasp nest treatment

1. Treat allergic rhinitis

12 grams each of wasp honeycomb, astragalus, codonopsis, red peony root, angelica dahurica, bupleurum, 6 grams each of xanthium, magnolia flower, mint (added later), licorice, and 15 grams of platycodon. Take it in decoction, one dose per day, 10 doses as a course of treatment.

2. Treat mumps

Use 30g-60g of honeycomb, cut it into pieces, place it on tiles and bake it until browned (you can also put it in a pot and fry it on low heat), wait for it to cool, grind it into fine powder, mix it with sesame oil to make a paste, apply it to the affected area, apply once in the morning and evening. Generally, the swelling can be reduced after applying it for 2 to 3 days.

3. Treat mouth ulcers

Use 30 grams of hornet's nest (cut into pieces, put into the pan and stir-fry until browned), 10 grams of angelica dahurica, and 5 grams of borneol, grind into fine powder, and store in a bottle for later use. When using, take a certain amount of medicine powder, mix it with tea oil and apply it to the affected area. 3-4 times a day.

4. Treat tinea capitis

One hornet's nest, two centipedes, and an appropriate amount of alum. Grind alum into powder and put it in the holes of the honeycomb. Then, place it together with the centipede on a tile and roast it over a low fire. Grind them into fine powder and mix it with sesame oil to apply to the affected area.

5. Treat suppurative infection

Add 30 grams of hornet's nest to 1000 ml of water, boil for 15 minutes, and filter out the residue. Soak or rinse the wound with the medicine to clean the pus and dirt, and then bandage it with sterilized gauze. Take it 1-2 times a day to remove dead tissue, promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation and relieve pain, and promote wound healing.
