No cold but stuffy nose

No cold but stuffy nose

Nasal congestion is the most common phenomenon among colds. The best way to solve it is to let the cold heal. It does not have a big impact on the body, but it is very uncomfortable. In addition to colds, many reasons can cause nasal congestion. If it is caused by a disease, actively treating the disease can solve the problem. In general, you can try some small methods, which have very good results. So, what should you do if your nose is blocked even though you don’t have a cold?

1. Peppermint oil for stuffy nose

Just smell the peppermint oil with your nose, or apply a little peppermint oil on your upper lip for a while to unclog your nose. The unique, refreshing and cool smell of mint helps to clear the nose and has the effect of dispelling wind and clearing heat.

2. Mugwort for nasal congestion

Rub the leaves of mugwort into strips. After washing and drying your nose, gently insert the mugwort strips and your nose will be unblocked in a few moments. Mugwort can not only dredge meridians, promote qi circulation, and dispel cold, but its special smell and ingredients such as potassium and essential oils can also help relieve nasal congestion.

3. White vinegar for stuffy nose

Put half a cup of vinegar in a steamer, steam it over high heat until it boils, then put your nose toward the mouth of the cup (keep a distance to avoid burns), smell the vinegar vapor, and your nose will be ventilated after a few minutes. Vinegar has the effects of detoxification, sterilization, and preventing colds.

4. Borneol for nasal congestion

Borneol has the effects of opening the orifices and clearing away heat; take 3 grams of borneol and grind it into powder, add 100 grams of honey, stir evenly, and directly use a cotton swab to dip a small amount and apply it to both sides of the nasal cavity, 3 to 5 times a day. It is forbidden for pregnant women to use.

5. Peach leaves can cure nasal congestion

Pick 2 fresh peach leaves, rub them into strips and stuff them into the nostrils. Leave them there for about 10 minutes. When a large amount of clear nasal discharge is secreted and you can't stand it, take out the leaves. Do this 4 times a day. Peach leaves have the effects of clearing heat, detoxifying and dispelling wind.
