What causes acne on the face

Acne is actually what we call pimples, and is also called acne in medicine. Generally speaking, men are more likely to have acne on their faces than women. This is because the secretion of male hormones is too strong, while the secretion of male hormones in women is relatively small. Acne on the face is related to diet, liking to eat heavy and greasy food, and staying up late every day. If you want to get rid of acne, it is recommended that you start with improving your lifestyle habits.

The occurrence of acne is closely related to factors such as excessive sebum secretion, blockage of the sebaceous gland ducts of the hair follicles, bacterial infection and inflammatory response. After entering puberty, the level of androgens, especially testosterone, in the human body increases rapidly, promoting the development of sebaceous glands and producing a large amount of sebum. At the same time, abnormal keratinization of the sebaceous gland ducts of the hair follicles causes blockage of the ducts, hindering the excretion of sebum and forming keratin plugs, also known as micro-acne. Various microorganisms, especially Propionibacterium acnes, multiply in large numbers in the hair follicles. The lipase produced by Propionibacterium acnes breaks down sebum to produce free fatty acids, while also attracting inflammatory cells and mediators, ultimately inducing and aggravating the inflammatory response.

Reasonable treatment methods:

1. Wash your face with warm water, because cold water is not easy to remove oil, hot water promotes sebum secretion. Do not use irritating soaps. Sulfur soap has certain benefits for acne. Do not use vanishing cream and other oily cosmetics.

2. Eat a healthy diet

Eat more vegetables and fruits, and less fat, sugar, spicy and other irritating foods to keep your bowel movements smooth. According to medical researchers, among young people who eat more kelp, few suffer from acne. The reason is related to the high zinc content in kelp. Zinc is an essential trace element for the human body. It not only enhances the body's immune function, but also participates in the normal metabolism of the skin, enables normal differentiation of epithelial cells, reduces keratinization of the sebaceous gland duct openings of hair follicles, and facilitates the discharge of sebaceous gland secretions.

3. Do not squeeze with your hands

To avoid causing suppuration and inflammation, the abscess may break and absorb, forming scars and pigmentation, which will affect the appearance.

4. Combine work and rest

Keep a happy mood and do not create psychological burden, so as not to cause neuroendocrine disorders and aggravate acne. For patients with mild symptoms, you can wait for it to subside naturally, because acne generally does not leave any traces after it subsides.

5. Treatment

Washing your face 2-3 times a day with warm water, using neutral or alkaline soap, or clean it once in the morning and evening with light salt water will help alleviate and eliminate symptoms. After cleansing, use Yuji Cream which is specifically used to treat acne.

Acne is a very common disease in our lives, which has a great impact on both boys and girls.
