What to do if there is pus in the toenail

The phenomenon of pus discharge from toenails is mainly due to infection, the most common of which is paronychia. When paronychia occurs, the nail will be embedded in the flesh, often causing inflammation, infection and pus discharge. In addition, in daily life, if there is trauma, such as hitting the toenail, it may also cause this phenomenon. Anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out in time to avoid aggravating the inflammation.

What to do if there is pus in the toenail

1. Formula A: 10g each of white peony root, atractylodes, forsythia, scutellaria, angelica dahurica, Momordica oleracea, pangolin, red peony root, gardenia, rhubarb, honeysuckle, castor bean, raw rehmannia root, coptis root, and phellodendron.

2. Formula B: 300g of Zhangdan and 2g of camphor

3. Formula C: 2g each of centipede, frankincense, myrrh, dragon's blood, catechu, light pink and red scutellaria.

4. Grind formula C into fine powder and set aside. Chop component A into small pieces.

5. Put the processed formula A and 700ml sesame oil in a pot and fry until dry, remove the residue, filter, and then refine until water drops form beads.

6. Add Zhangdan, stir well, put it in an iron container, and then soak it in water for three days and three nights.

7. Take out the ointment in the water, heat it to melt it, remove all the water vapor, and add camphor and formula C after it cools down slightly, stir well, and let it stand for later use. 8. Use a knife to take out 2 grams of the finished product and place it on a piece of paper (the size of the paper should be enough to cover the affected area). Melt it over fire, and when it is at the right temperature, apply it to the affected area once a day. What to do if the toenail grows into the flesh and becomes festered? 9. Use it continuously for more than three days until it heals.

Note: You may find suppuration during use, don't panic, this is normal. When the empty nails and rotten flesh fall off by themselves, don't panic, it is normal, and they will automatically grow back to normal later.

Like the toenail infection mentioned above, if it occurs with lower limb vascular occlusion, and if it is diabetes and high blood sugar, the risk is even greater. Because of the characteristics of diabetics, wounds do not heal, which is an early symptom of diabetic foot in the lower limbs. If it is not treated properly or in time, it may result in toe amputation at the mildest, and endanger the patient's life at the worst.
