Spots after moxibustion are caused by cold and dampness

Moxibustion is a common health care method. It is also a kind of acupuncture, but it also involves the fumigation of moxa leaves. Using the unique efficacy of mugwort to fumigate the acupuncture points of the human body will play a role in health care. In addition, it can also dispel evil spirits and open up the body's qi and blood. However, many people who have undergone moxibustion always find that there are a few spots on their bodies, and some places even feel a little itchy. So what are these spots about? In fact, it is because the individual has a heavier coldness.

It is normal to get moxibustion marks or burns when doing moxibustion, and you don’t need to take it seriously!

Especially for people with cold and dampness in the body, such as those with severe gynecological AIDS and those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, if the moxibustion time and amount are sufficient, there will be a strong disease-eliminating reaction, including the appearance of moxibustion flowers.

Moxibustion and burns are two different things:

Moxibustion flowers are a normal reaction of expelling evil qi that may occur during warm moxibustion and suspended moxibustion. It usually manifests as local blisters or even suppuration.

Moxibustion flowers are large or small blisters caused by heavy dampness, coldness and blocked meridians. They are a manifestation of the pathogenic factors in the body being emitted outwards. Dampness and coldness are evil, while yang energy is righteous. When the evil is about to be forced out, moxibustion flowers will appear. To expel the evil spirits from the body, a channel is needed, and moxibustion flower is this channel.

Of course, we will try our best to avoid the appearance of moxibustion flowers when doing moxibustion. After all, in modern times, the appearance of moxibustion flowers in busy life will bring some inconvenience.

In ancient times, it was very normal to get moxibustion sores after scar moxibustion. Some people even insisted on moxibustion until pus flowed out and sores formed before they believed that the pathogenic factors had been eliminated and the effect had been achieved. Ancient Chinese medicine used scar moxibustion for health care and treatment of diseases. There is a saying that "if a sore breaks out by moxibustion, curing the disease is like grabbing it by the hand." There is also the saying “If you want to have a healthy body, keep Sanli acupoint moist” which is all about scar moxibustion. Moxibustion sores are a manifestation of removing pathogens from our body, and are often manifested by blistering or even pus discharge.

Modern Chinese medicine believes that moxibustion adjusts the body system by stimulating acupuncture points and meridians. After the moxibustion is over, the stimulation of the meridian acupuncture points continues due to the presence of blisters, which is equivalent to extending the effect of moxibustion, so this is a good phenomenon. This is the same principle as acupuncture to treat myopia and lose weight.

Therefore, the appearance of moxibustion flowers is not a bad thing!

Moxibustion and burns can be treated as follows:

1. After the moxibustion flower appears, wait until the scab forms before moxibustioning the area again;

2. If the blisters are very small, they can be absorbed by themselves. For large blisters, you can puncture them with a disinfected sewing needle, and then apply a mixture of wormwood ash mixed with sesame oil (sesame oil). It should be healed in 2 days. You can also apply erythromycin ointment or moist burn ointment.

3. If the wound is large and festering, you can boil wormwood in 3 times the amount of water for 15 minutes. After it cools down, soak the festering area in the wormwood water for about half an hour. Let the wound dry naturally and sprinkle it with wormwood ash. Generally, the abscess can be cleaned up in one time, and new skin will form on the wound within a few days.

4. No matter what kind of wound it is (including bruises and injuries), you can apply it after mixing mugwort ash and sesame oil (sesame oil). The effect is very good!
