What causes purple spots on the body?

When people find some purple spots on their bodies, they should consider that this is allergic purpura, a skin disease that causes changes in the pores and capillaries. There are many types of infections that cause allergic purpura, such as food, immune vaccinations, and mosquito bites. These are all causes of infection.

What causes purple spots on the body?

Allergic purpura is a common capillary allergic disease. Its main pathological basis is extensive capillary inflammation. Its main clinical manifestations include skin purpura, gastrointestinal mucosal bleeding, joint swelling and pain, and nephritis. A small number of patients also have angioedema. Some patients may experience recurrent attacks upon re-exposure to allergens. The extent and outcome of renal involvement are important factors in determining prognosis. Henoch-Schonlein purpura can occur at any age, but is more common in children and adolescents, especially preschool and school-age children. It is rare in infants under one year old and is more common in males than in females (about 1.4-2.1).

This disease can occur in all seasons, but is more common in spring and autumn. Henoch-Schonlein purpura is a common hemorrhagic disease. In recent years, the incidence of Henoch-Schonlein purpura has tended to increase. It can heal itself, but it can relapse. About 5% of patients die from renal failure, central nervous system complications, etc., which seriously threatens people's health. Allergic purpura belongs to the categories of "blood syndrome", "purpura", "mucosal bleeding" and "grape epidemic" in traditional Chinese medicine.

Henoch-Schonlein purpura is a connective tissue disease with capillary allergic inflammation as its pathological basis. It is clinically characterized by skin purpura, joint swelling and pain, abdominal pain, bloody stools and hematuria.

The cause of Henoch-Schonlein purpura is unclear, and it is currently believed that the disease is an immune response disease. The onset of the disease may be related to infection, food (milk, eggs, fish, shrimp and crabs), drugs (acetaminophen, streptomycin, isoniazid), vaccination, insect bites, etc.

Patients with allergic purpura are easily affected by the external environment and their symptoms may worsen, so they should pay attention to the following points in their daily lives.

1) Rest in bed to facilitate the disappearance of skin purpura and reduce its recurrence.

2) Avoid spicy, pungent, and irritating foods, seafood, and foods that have not been eaten before if the allergens are unknown.

3 ) Those with severe abdominal pain or positive occult blood in stool should not eat semi-liquid food, and those with obvious bleeding in the digestive tract should fast.

4) Keep warm and prevent colds.

5) Prevent insect bites.

6) The rash is itchy, so you should keep your skin clean, trim your nails, and prevent abrasions and scratches.

7) Remove possible allergens.
