Suddenly stood up and felt dizzy and convulsed

Although dizziness is a common symptom of the disease, it should not be ignored. Some people may experience dizziness and convulsions when they suddenly stand up, which is most likely caused by insufficient blood flow to the brain. Patients with high blood pressure should be more careful and squat slowly. They should learn in detail what causes dizziness and convulsions when they suddenly stand up.

When you squat or exercise vigorously, the distance the heart uses to supply blood to the brain is short and the pressure is low. However, when you suddenly stop exercising or stand up, the distance between the heart and the brain suddenly becomes far. Before the heart can adapt, the brain suffers from a short-term lack of blood supply, causing dizziness and other symptoms. So when you stand up after squatting or stop exercising, you have to take it slowly.

Dizziness and lightheadedness may be caused by anemia. Such as iron deficiency anemia, hemolytic anemia, megaloblastic anemia, etc., the blood supply in the human body is severely insufficient, leading to brain hypoxia, thus causing dizziness.

It may also be acute cardiogenic cerebral ischemia syndrome, which is acute cerebral ischemia caused by cardiac arrest, paroxysmal tachycardia, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and ventricular fibrillation, which may manifest as dizziness, blurred vision, stomach discomfort, and syncope.

Another reason is that our low blood pressure, such as constitutional hypotension, physical hypotension, secondary hypotension, etc., slows the blood flow in the body, causing ischemia of distal capillaries, which affects the supply of oxygen and nutrients to tissue cells.

Secondly, dizziness is caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis: the inner diameter of the cerebral arteries becomes smaller, the blood flow in the brain decreases, resulting in insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the brain, causing dizziness. In addition, patients often suffer from insomnia, tinnitus, emotional instability, forgetfulness, numbness in the limbs and other symptoms.

Functional hypoglycemia can also cause dizziness, palpitations, weakness, tremors when fasting or exerting force, sometimes convulsions, loss of consciousness, etc.
