What to do if the plaster causes blisters due to allergic reaction

Both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine emphasize internal and external treatment. Internal treatment is to achieve the purpose of treating diseases through taking medicines. External treatment refers to the use of surgical treatment and application of medication to achieve the purpose of treating the disease. For example, many of us have cervical spondylosis and periarthritis of the shoulder. On the one hand, we can treat them through massage techniques, and on the other hand, we can apply plasters. However, some people are allergic to plasters and may develop blisters. So what should they do?

1 No matter what the allergy is, you must first find out the allergen. Allergies when applying a plaster may be caused by the plaster or other allergens. If it is caused by other allergens, but you arbitrarily think it is an allergy to the plaster, then you will not take measures to eliminate the real allergens, and even if you take treatment measures, you will still be allergic. Based on your past allergy history, confirm whether there are any past allergens around you.

2 If you cannot immediately confirm whether you are allergic to the plaster, you should stop using the plaster first, then treat and observe the allergic condition after discontinuation to determine whether you are allergic to the plaster. If the allergic symptoms disappear quickly after discontinuation of use and treatment is given, it can be determined that the allergy is caused by the plaster. If the plaster is discontinued and treatment is initiated, but the allergic symptoms do not change at all, it can be determined that there must be other allergens.

3 Pharmaceutical manufacturers often know how to deal with some of the side effects of their own drugs. Therefore, after determining that it is an allergy to the plaster, it is best to find the outer packaging of the plaster to check the adverse reactions and how to deal with them. If the outer packaging does not give the adverse reactions and how to deal with them, you can contact the plaster distributor or manufacturer to see if they have any solutions.

4 For mild skin allergies such as redness, swelling, itching and pain, stop using the plaster, clean the red and swollen area with salt water, and apply some cooling oil. The symptoms will naturally disappear in a day or two. If you can't stand it, you can find a small clinic to prescribe some medicine for internal or external use. If you experience severe allergies such as severe herpes, severe gastrointestinal pain, dizziness, etc., you must go to a regular hospital for treatment as soon as possible without delay.

5. If it is a severe respiratory allergy, digestive tract allergy, or neurasthenia, specific treatment measures are often required based on the ingredients of the plaster. In this case, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer in time and ask the other party to provide the ingredients of the plaster so that the doctor can take accurate treatment measures. For those unpackaged plasters bought from street stalls, it is best to ask the seller about the treatment methods and ingredients.

6. After discovering an allergic reaction to the plaster, especially a severe allergy, be sure to keep the outer packaging of the used plaster, unused plasters, purchase invoices, etc. During the communication with dealers and manufacturers, it is best to quietly record it in order to facilitate future claims.
