Male stomach pain on the left side

Male stomach pain on the left side

Stomach pain is also called abdominal pain in medicine, and it is generally divided into many types. For example, different parts of the body may cause different diseases. Abdominal pain in the lower right corner accompanied by rebound pain may be appendicitis, abdominal pain in the lower left abdomen may be pancreatitis, and abdominal pain in the lower abdomen may be related to urinary system diseases. Severe abdominal pain is usually an acute onset, while dull abdominal pain is usually a chronic disease. Next, let’s analyze in detail why men have dull abdominal pain.

1. Pain on the left side of the lower abdomen after sex

Some men experience pain on the left side of their abdomen, mostly after sexual intercourse. Experts point out that pain on the left side of the abdomen at this time is mostly caused by inflammatory infection of the urinary and reproductive system.

For example, chronic prostatitis, epididymitis, orchitis, etc., in addition to varicocele can also cause pain on the left side of the abdomen.

At this time, you should pay attention to going to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible, so as to help you prevent the disease from worsening. At the same time, you should also pay attention to developing good living habits.

2. Acute pain

Regarding the cause of pain on the left side of the abdomen, experts point out that acute abdominal pain is the most common condition and also one of the most dangerous conditions.

Acute abdominal pain refers to sudden abdominal pain that patients feel, which is often caused by diseases of intra-abdominal or extra-abdominal organs. The former is called visceral pain on the left side of the abdomen. At the same time, many patients are accompanied by a series of adverse symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and sweating.

The pain on the left side of the abdomen is transmitted by the visceral nerves, while the pain on the left side of the abdomen is transmitted by the somatic nerves. Therefore, it is called somatic pain on the left side of the abdomen. This pain is mostly continuous pain.

3. Prostate pain

Medical research has found that men with chronic prostatitis may also experience pain on the left side of their abdomen.

However, the diagnosis and treatment of chronic prostatitis are very difficult. No bacteria can be found in the patient's urine, and no pus cells or white blood cells can be seen under a microscope in the prostatic fluid.

Although diagnosis is difficult, the symptoms of prostatitis are very obvious. Common ones include frequent urination, urgency and difficulty urinating, especially pain in the perineum and scrotum. Some people even feel pain when sitting down.

In addition to prostatitis which can cause pain on the left side of the abdomen, there are some other diseases that can also cause left abdominal pain in men.

Such as pain in the urethral muscles, prostate muscles, or perineum and pelvic floor. These symptoms are similar to those of prostatitis, so men need to pay attention when pain occurs. They must find the cause and then treat it correctly.

4. Urinary system stones

Men often experience pain on the left side of their abdomen, which is related to the urinary system. In addition to lower back and abdominal cramps and nausea and vomiting, most patients with urinary stones have adverse symptoms such as difficulty urinating and painful urination.

The pain is usually reflected from the waist to the ipsilateral groin or perineum, and this pain is fundamentally different from acute appendicitis, because the former can also manifest as persistent pain in the left side of the lower right abdomen, accompanied by local tenderness and rebound pain;

Patients with acute appendicitis often have fever and chills in addition to bloating and pain in the waist and abdomen. There may be tenderness in the hypochondrium and lower abdomen, and the tenderness is deep and there is rarely rebound pain. They usually have urinary tract irritation, and pus balls are often seen in urine routine tests.

If a man has the above problems, he needs to go to the hospital for examination and treatment to avoid causing serious harm to himself and bringing a lot of inconvenience to his life.
