Conditions for vaginal delivery after cesarean section

Conditions for vaginal delivery after cesarean section

We all know that because of the implementation of the national two-child policy, many families are trying hard to have a second baby. Some women are more cautious when they are pregnant with their second baby because their first baby was born by caesarean section. They want the second baby to be born naturally, but natural birth also requires certain conditions. Natural birth can only be achieved if the indicators are suitable. So what are the conditions for natural birth after caesarean section?

First of all, natural childbirth means normal delivery, which has certain benefits for the fetus. Because the fetus is working hard while the mother is in pain, the squeezing effect in the birth canal can stimulate the baby's various body functions, especially the brain and lungs. Medical research shows that babies born naturally are healthier and smarter than those born by caesarean section. So what is the right way to have a normal birth?

1. Depends on the condition of the pregnant mother

After entering the delivery room, influenced by other pregnant women around, and being in an environment where everyone is moaning or screaming in pain, the pregnant mother's emotions and mental stress will be greatly affected, and her physical strength will be consumed. Coupled with the pain during dilation, her emotions will be even more difficult to control. The quality of mental state directly affects concentration. Labor pains will prevent pregnant women from getting a good rest while waiting for delivery, which can easily lead to lack of concentration, and the labor process will progress slowly without them noticing. At this time, if the fetus stays in the uterus for a long time, it may be prone to ozone or other phenomena.

2. Size of the birth canal

Whether the baby can come out smoothly is related to the state of the bony birth canal and the soft birth canal. If the size and shape of the bony birth canal, that is, the pelvis, meet the standards, the baby can pass through smoothly. If abnormalities are found in length or width, the risk of dystocia will increase.

3. The condition of the fetus

The most important factors before the baby is delivered are the fetal position and size. If the fetal position and posture are correct, it will help the baby to turn and adapt to the birth canal. If the fetus is in the wrong position, it will be more difficult to pass through the birth canal.

Pregnant mothers must cooperate with the doctor before giving birth. They can do some gentle exercises before giving birth and squat under the guidance of the doctor to help open the pelvis. You can also eat some foods that increase your productivity during labor. For example, starting one month before delivery, you can eat more chicken, duck, and fish, or foods that can supplement protein and enhance muscle strength. One to two hours before delivery, you can eat some chocolate appropriately, but be careful not to eat too much, as a way to replenish your physical strength. The most important and necessary thing is to keep your mind relaxed. Don't scream when contractions come. You should breathe in accordance with the breathing method. Don't take a deep breath, as this will cause wind to enter your stomach, making you feel nauseous and want to vomit, and will also seriously consume your physical strength.
