How to prevent tuberculosis infection

How to prevent tuberculosis infection

I believe that many people often suffer from tuberculosis in their daily lives. This disease is highly contagious and may cause transmission between people and between animals. If you want to prevent the spread of tuberculosis, the first thing to do is isolation. Only after isolation can we ensure that there will be no large-scale transmission, so as not to affect the people around you.

A chronic respiratory infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infecting the lungs. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is transmitted to healthy people by pulmonary tuberculosis patients who excrete bacteria through loud talking and coughing droplets.

If you have tuberculosis, during treatment. It is best to live in a separate room from your family, eat separately, and use separate bowls and chopsticks. Boil the bowls and chopsticks in water for 5 minutes to disinfect them every 10 days.

Try to have as little contact as possible and stay away from children. So as not to infect children with tuberculosis. Also, don't spit anywhere.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is very resilient and stubborn, and can survive for 1 to 2 hours under direct sunlight. It can survive for several months in a dark, humid place. The tuberculosis bacteria in sputum can only survive in boiling water for 5 minutes. Patients with pulmonary tuberculosis should cover their mouths with a clean handkerchief when coughing, and keep at least 1 meter away from healthy people when talking and coughing to avoid transmitting the disease to other people.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is mainly transmitted through the air, which is also known as droplet transmission. When a patient with infectious pulmonary tuberculosis coughs or sneezes, the sputum containing tuberculosis bacteria turns into droplets and spreads into the air. After a normal person inhales it, the tuberculosis bacteria have the opportunity to multiply in the lungs, causing the lungs to become infected. People who often have close contact with contagious tuberculosis patients are most likely to be infected.
