Scalp Trichocystis

Scalp Trichocystis
As the name suggests, scalp hair follicles are a type of hair follicles that exist in the hair follicles of the skin on the head. Scalp hair follicles have a great impact on scalp health. If not treated in time, it will cause great harm to scalp health. There are many ways to treat scalp folliculitis. Generally speaking, there are local treatment, systemic treatment, physical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Different treatment methods have different characteristics and effects.

1. Local treatment

Based on the principles of anti-inflammation, sterilization and drying, you can cut the hair and then apply antibiotic tinctures, 2.5% iodine tincture or 5% white mercury, 10% ichthyol ointment or Bactroban ointment or 1% neomycin or rifampicin ointment, etc.

2. Systemic treatment

1. Keep clean and hygienic, and avoid scratching and rubbing. Patients with recurrent folliculitis should pay attention to whether they have diabetes, anemia or systemic diseases, and if so, they should be treated accordingly. Patients should avoid alcohol and spicy food.

2. Depending on the severity of the disease, sulfa drugs such as co-trimoxazole or sensitive antibiotics such as penicillin, gentamicin, cephalosporin and kanamycin should be appropriately selected.

3. For stubborn and recurrent folliculitis, immunoglobulin can be injected, or autologous bacterial vaccine or polyvalent staphylococcal vaccine can be injected. Some people advocate the use of injections of polyvalent Staphylococcus aureus vaccines to treat recurrent folliculitis. The reason is that although injections of homemade vaccines have certain therapeutic effects, they require certain conditions and are time-consuming and labor-intensive. Polyvalent Staphylococcus aureus vaccines are relatively specific to various skin Staphylococci and have better efficacy. They can be prepared in batches and have no obvious side effects. Specific method: Inject the vaccine subcutaneously in the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, 0.5ml for the first time, 1ml each time thereafter, once a week, 5 times as a course of treatment, and after it is effective, continue to inject for 2 to 3 courses of treatment. There may be mild local redness and swelling after injection. If redness and swelling are significant, the injection volume should be reduced and increased slowly.

3. Physical therapy

Ultraviolet rays, ultra-short waves, etc. can be used, and the effect will be better if applied early.

4. Treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine calls this disease "hairline sores". It is believed that it is caused by accumulation of dampness and heat in the body and external invasion of wind and poison. Treatment is usually divided into two types.

① Heat toxicity syndrome: multiple red rashes with small pustules on the hairline of the neck, obvious pain, red tongue, and yellow tongue coating. The treatment should be to clear away heat, detoxify, dispel wind and overcome dampness. The prescription uses Wuwei Xiaodu Yin combined with Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder with modifications.

②Syndrome of Qi deficiency and evil excess: weak constitution, pale complexion, light red sores with occasional pus heads, no pain, and repeated attacks; or small sores with dark red sores and dark tongue with ecchymosis. The treatment should be to invigorate qi and detoxify, as well as to activate blood circulation and dredge collaterals. You can use 15g of Astragalus, 10g of Codonopsis, 10g of Angelica, 10g each of Asparagus and Ophiopogon, 30g of Plantago, 10g of Wild Chrysanthemum, 10g of Red Peony Root, 10g of Peach Kernel, 15g of Honeysuckle Vine, and 10g of Sophora japonica. You can also take the Chinese patent medicine Buzhong Yiqi Pills combined with Xiaobaidu Paste.

External treatment:

①Apply appropriate amount of golden powder and vegetable oil.

② Garlic moxibustion therapy: Cut the garlic into thin slices about 0.2cm thick, spread them on the affected area, and place moxa sticks on the garlic slices. You can apply moxa for 10 sticks in a row, once a day, and 10 times is a course of treatment. ③Blood-letting plus pricking and cupping therapy: Take the Weizhong point and use a filiform needle to prick and cause bleeding; first use a filiform needle to prick the area around the purulent sore on the affected area, then use cupping, and treat once every 2 to 3 days.
