What is yellow membrane inflammation?
Yellow membrane inflammation, also known as synovitis, is a joint disease that brings extremely serious consequences to patients. This disease is more common in middle-aged and elderly people, causing great pain to these people in their later years. Therefore, solving yellow membrane inflammation is the wish of many people. Most people know very little about this disease, let alone how to treat it. Let’s take a look at what yellow membrane inflammation is.

Synovitis is a sterile inflammatory disease that is ineffective against general anti-inflammatory drugs and is a stubborn disease that is difficult to cure clinically. Most cases of knee synovitis occur concurrently with the above-mentioned various knee injuries, but they can also occur alone or be secondary to knee osteoarthritis, the latter of which mostly occurs in the elderly. Many young and middle-aged people have a history of acute knee trauma, after which the knee joint begins to experience mild edema, pain, limited movement and lameness. Synovial reactive effusion usually appears 6-8 hours after the injury, with obvious swelling and heat in the knee joint and fear of movement. Examination revealed limited flexion and extension of the knee joint, difficulty in squatting and accompanied by pain, localized tenderness points around the joint, and a positive floating patella test. Chronic traumatic synovium may have no obvious history of trauma, and the main symptoms are weakness and limited movement of the knee joint, persistent swelling, and fear of squatting. It gets worse with increased activity and gets better with rest. Patients with long-term illness may feel thickening of the knee joint capsule.

The synovium is mainly distributed around the joints. It communicates with the joint cavity and secretes lubricating fluid to lubricate the joints. When the synovium is stimulated or directly stimulated by various causes (such as bone hyperplasia, arthritis, joint tuberculosis, rheumatism, traumatic injury, bone injury, intra-articular injury, surrounding soft tissue injury, surgery, etc.), an inflammatory response is produced. The synovium responds to the inflammatory stimulus by secreting exudate and producing pain. Strictly speaking, as long as there is exudate and effusion in the joint, it proves the presence of synovitis; its main manifestations are joint congestion and swelling, pain, increased exudate, joint effusion, difficulty in squatting, and limited function.

Synovitis is a sterile inflammation caused by poor microcirculation. The main symptom is the formation of fluid effusion. The synovium is a layer of membranous tissue surrounding the joint. It is not only a layer of tissue that protects the joint, but also produces synovial fluid to provide "lubricating fluid" for joint movement. The production and absorption of synovial fluid is a "dynamic balance". When there is an obstacle to the reabsorption of synovial fluid, the dynamic balance of the production and absorption of synovial fluid is broken, the production of synovial fluid is greater than the reabsorption, and "joint effusion" will occur.
