Will breast hyperplasia cause nipple discharge?

Many women do not pay attention to breast hygiene and are often exposed to bacterial-infected environments, which can easily lead to breast hyperplasia and breast blockage. Many people do not understand the symptoms of breast hyperplasia, nor do they know whether breast hyperplasia will cause nipple discharge, which often affects the effectiveness of treatment and delays the deterioration of the disease. Will there be discharge from the nipple due to breast hyperplasia? Will there be discharge from the nipple due to breast hyperplasia?

Breast hyperplasia is a common disease that mostly occurs in women aged 30 to 50. Breast hyperplasia is a disorder of the normal structure of the breast. Its occurrence is related to endocrine dysfunction, decreased progesterone secretion and relative increase in estrogen. Studies have shown that, from a tissue morphological point of view, simple lobular hyperplasia without mammary duct epithelial hyperplasia, which accounts for 70% of all breast hyperplasia, will not turn into breast cancer. Although only a small number of breast hyperplasia will develop into malignant changes, you should not take it lightly and should go to the hospital for a check-up every three months.

Nipple discharge is quite common. Some of it is a normal physiological phenomenon, some is a manifestation of systemic disease, and some is a reaction to local breast lesions. There are many diseases that can cause nipple discharge, which can be roughly divided into three types: benign and malignant tumors; inflammation; and breast hyperplasia. Tumors account for 60%-70%, of which breast cancer accounts for 1/4.

The characteristics of the discharge have no direct relationship with the cause of the disease, but the incidence of cancer is highest in bloody, serous, and watery discharges. Thin bloody discharge is mostly cancer; mucinous discharge is mostly benign lesions; obvious bloody discharge is often seen in intraductal papilloma; purulent discharge is mostly caused by infection. Since the incidence of breast cancer in nipple discharge increases with age, women should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible if they experience symptoms of nipple discharge.
