Many people feel cold wind on their calves when winter comes, which is very uncomfortable. But there were no other discomfort symptoms. This situation is largely due to one's own lifestyle habits. If the calves are exposed to cold for a long time, this situation will occur. Of course, if we have kidney yang deficiency, we will also feel a cool breeze in our calves. If you want to eliminate this situation, you need to keep warm and adjust your body in time. Kidney yang deficiency is a term in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A type of deficiency-cold syndrome caused by kidney yang deficiency, loss of warming function, and loss of qi transformation is called kidney yang deficiency syndrome. It is mostly caused by factors such as yang deficiency, kidney deficiency due to aging, kidney damage due to long-term illness, and excessive sexual intercourse. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the kidney governs water, and that kidney yang has a gasification and evaporation effect on water. If the kidney yang is insufficient and the gasification and evaporation are weak, symptoms such as clear and long urination will appear. Therefore, kidney yang deficiency syndrome involves pathological changes in the kidneys. Kidney deficiency is mostly a long-term accumulation of diseases. Do not rush to achieve results and use tonic medicines, or use kidney-tonifying and aphrodisiac drugs with unknown ingredients. Instead, you should slowly adjust the condition. Kidney Yang is also called Yuan Yang, True Yang, and True Fire. The root of the twelve meridians and the innate foundation lies in the kidneys. The kidney and the life gate are originally of the same energy, and are the hub of the rise and fall of yin and yang in the human body. Kidney Yang controls the Yang energy of the whole body. If the fire is weakened, symptoms of Yang deficiency will appear one after another. Kidney yang deficiency is related to the neuroendocrine immune system (NEIS) of modern medicine. Kidney yang deficiency syndrome has functional disorders in different links and degrees in the hypothalamus-pituitary-target gland (adrenal cortex, thyroid, gonads, thymus) axis, and the main pathogenesis is the regulatory dysfunction of the hypothalamus (or higher centers). The clinical manifestations of kidney yang deficiency include: fatigue, lack of energy, low vitality, easy fatigue; fear of cold, cold limbs (even in summer in severe cases), heavy body; soreness of waist and knees, cold pain in waist and back, weak tendons and bones; sexual dysfunction, impotence, premature ejaculation, susceptibility to prostatitis, etc.; clear and long urination, residual urine, less urine or frequent urination at night; hearing loss or tinnitus; memory loss, drowsiness, nightmares, spontaneous sweating; susceptibility to low back pain, joint pain, etc.; susceptibility to osteoporosis, cervical spondylosis, lumbar spondylosis, etc.; shortness of breath, cough, wheezing and sputum; diarrhea at dawn, or constipation; edema of the body, especially below the waist, and edema of the lower limbs; traction of the lower abdomen with testicular swelling and pain, or scrotal contraction, which is more severe when it is cold and relieved when it is hot; easy loss of hair and premature graying; puffy or emaciated body; reflected on the face with dull bluish white or dark color. The clinical manifestations of kidney yang deficiency can be summarized into ten aspects: 1. Weakness and pain in the waist and knees is caused by the deficiency of kidney yang which cannot warm the waist and bones; 2. Male impotence and premature ejaculation, female uterine cold and infertility are due to insufficient kidney yang, weak life gate fire, and decreased reproductive function; 3. Chronic diarrhea, indigestion, and diarrhea at dawn are caused by the decline of the fire in the gate of life, the fire cannot generate earth, and the spleen fails to function properly; 4. Frequent urination, clear and long urination, and frequent urination at night are due to the kidneys controlling urination and defecation, insufficient kidney yang, and bladder gasification disorder; 5. Swelling below the waist is caused by fluid retention in the body and overflowing into the skin; 6. Dark complexion due to deficiency of kidney yang and turbid yin permeating the skin; 7. Fear of cold and cold limbs, why is it that the lower limbs are cold? It is because the yang deficiency cannot warm the skin; 8. Mental depression is caused by insufficient Yang Qi, and the mind is unable to be excited; 9. Pale complexion and dizziness are caused by the inability of Qi and blood to flow to the clear orifices; 10. A pale, plump tongue with white coating and a deep, weak and slow pulse are all signs of yang deficiency. |
