Chinese patent medicine for treating chronic nephritis

Chinese patent medicine for treating chronic nephritis

Chronic nephritis is a very common disease. If you suffer from chronic nephritis, you will experience edema or hematuria, which has a great impact on your health and daily life. Chronic nephritis needs to be actively treated. There are many treatment methods. If chronic nephritis needs to be treated with medicine, it is usually treated with Chinese patent medicine. What are the Chinese patent medicines for treating chronic nephritis?

There are two major categories of Chinese patent medicines commonly used to treat chronic nephritis: one category can reduce urine protein and hematuria, common ones include Huangkui Capsules, Bailing Capsules, Jinshuibao Capsules, etc.; the other category can lower creatinine, commonly used ones include Urea Clear, Haikun Shenxi, Shenshuai Ning, etc. The latter is mainly used for patients with elevated creatinine. Chinese patent medicine has a certain auxiliary effect in the treatment of chronic nephritis, but it needs to be used in combination with other drugs, such as ACEI or ARB antihypertensive drugs. Some patients also need to add glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, and cytotoxic drugs. If the condition is relatively mild, it can be treated with Chinese traditional medicine alone; if the condition is slightly more serious, the effect will be better if combined with Western medicine.

What food is good for nephritis?

Patients with chronic nephritis should eat a light and easily digestible low-salt or salt-free diet when they have edema, oliguria or poor diet. As the condition improves, urine volume increases and edema subsides, in order to replenish the large amount of protein lost in the urine in time, you can gradually transition to a high-quality, high-protein diet. If accompanied by anemia, you can choose foods rich in iron, such as animal blood, animal liver, lean meat, black beans, black fungus, sesame paste, etc.

1. Eat more light and diuretic foods. Foods that have diuretic and swelling-reducing effects include carp, crucian carp, goat milk, watermelon, wax gourd, mung bean, red bean, etc. Boiling watermelon rind in water has a good diuretic effect.

2. Eat more foods rich in vitamins. Fresh vegetables and fruits are alkaline foods. They can not only provide a variety of vitamins but also promote the recovery of kidney function.

3. Do not eat a high-salt diet. The edema of chronic nephritis is closely related to blood volume and sodium salt, so the salt intake must be restricted and a low-salt diet should be given. Daily salt intake should be controlled below 2-4 grams to prevent worsening of edema and increase in blood volume, which may lead to accidents.

4. Do not eat or eat less high-fat food. Chronic nephritis patients have symptoms of hypertension and anemia. Animal fat is an unfavorable factor for hypertension and anemia because fat can aggravate arteriosclerosis and inhibit hematopoietic function. Therefore, chronic nephritis patients should not eat too much animal fat.

5. Avoid using strong condiments. Strong condiments are harmful to kidney function and should be avoided. Since MSG will make you thirsty after eating too much, you should also use less MSG when limiting your water intake.

6. Limit plant protein. Protein intake should depend on kidney function. When patients experience oliguria, edema, hypertension and nitrogen retention, it can reduce the burden on the kidneys and avoid the accumulation of non-protein nitrogen in the body. In particular, plant protein contains a large amount of leuprorelin, which can aggravate the kidney's intermediate metabolism. Therefore, it is not appropriate to use beans and bean products as nutritional supplements.
