Penile skin infection

Penile skin infection
Some men have the problem of foreskin being too long. If this happens, although it will not cause any harm to your health, you should pay attention to washing it with warm water every day to avoid smegma or chronic inflammation caused by the foreskin being too long. If you find that the penis is repeatedly broken, it is best to go to the hospital for examination to confirm the cause and then carry out effective treatment.

The dangers of excessive foreskin : 1. It can harbor dirt and induce inflammation: such as balanitis, prostatitis, urethritis and other disease infections. 2. Prone to premature ejaculation: The nerves of the glans mucosa are too sensitive, which can easily lead to ejaculation during sexual intercourse, and can also cause pain during sexual intercourse. During sexual intercourse, the glans is exposed after erection, and when the glans and vagina rub and stimulate, the oversensitive nerves of the glans mucosa can trigger premature ejaculation, causing premature ejaculation. 3. Affects the normal development of the glans penis: When boys are in puberty, it is a good time for the development of the glans penis, but the little brother is tightly wrapped, which of course hinders its development and causes a short penis. 4. Potential risk of causing cancer: The most serious consequence of excessive foreskin is causing penile cancer in oneself and cervical cancer in one’s wife. A long foreskin can easily harbor dirt and filth, forming smegma. Male smegma (residual urine crystals) is one of the important causes of male penile cancer and female cervical cancer.

The reason for the foreskin being too long is that in the 12th week of pregnancy, the skin fold begins to form at the glans penis of the male fetus, which is the foreskin. As it grows forward and completely wraps around the glans penis, the inner epithelium of the foreskin quickly adheres to the glans penis. In the late pregnancy, the foreskin gradually separates from the glans penis due to desquamation and cavitation. By the time the fetus is born, this separation process is still not complete in most cases, and is often accompanied by a relative narrowness of the foreskin opening, which makes it impossible for the foreskin to be turned over to reveal the glans penis. This is congenital phimosis. Congenital phimosis can be seen in every normal male newborn and infant, which is called physiological phimosis.

There is mild epithelial adhesion between the inner layer of the foreskin and the surface of the glans penis in newborns. After a few months, the adhesion is absorbed and the inner layer of the foreskin separates from the glans penis. By the age of 3 to 4, with the growth and development of the penis and the accumulation of epithelial debris under the foreskin, coupled with intermittent penile erections, the foreskin opening gradually expands and the foreskin retracts upward on its own to reveal the glans penis. At this time, most phimosis can heal itself. However, due to individual differences, the foreskin of some men cannot be completely retracted to reveal the glans penis even into adulthood, which is called foreskin being too long. In children, the foreskin can protect the glans penis and urethral opening, preventing abrasions and ulcers caused by friction of diapers. Therefore, excessive foreskin in children is a physiological phenomenon rather than a pathological phenomenon. Some scholars also believe that in adulthood, the presence of the foreskin helps keep the glans penis soft, moist and sensitive. During sexual intercourse, the skin reserve of the foreskin can reduce friction and alleviate the discomfort caused by vaginal dryness.
