How is a penile endoscopy performed?

Colposcopy is a common gynecological examination item. Colposcopy can magnify the tissues of the vulva, vagina and cervix to dozens of times to observe lesions that are difficult to distinguish with the naked eye. Generally, doctors can provide a basis for the diagnosis of the disease based on the results of the colposcopy and the size of the lesions seen by their own eyes. So how is the colposcopy examination performed?

How to perform a colposcopy? During a vaginal speculum examination, your doctor will insert a lubricated duckbill-shaped speculum into your vagina and then open it to stretch the vaginal walls, which are usually stuck together, to see if there are any visible lesions in your vagina and cervix. Take deep breaths during insertion and try to relax as much as possible. The more nervous you are, the more likely it is to cause pain and affect the results of the examination.

Which patients should undergo colposcopy? 1. Cervical diseases: cervical erosion, cervical polyps, and cervical endometriosis. 2. Vulvovaginal inflammation: vulvar nutritional disorders (vulvar leukoplakia), condyloma acuminatum, and suspicious lesions of the vulva and vagina. 3. Women with a family history of cervical cancer. 4. Those with positive TCT test.

Features of colposcope : 1. No trauma, no pain, and no risk of cross infection to patients. 2. Improving the accuracy of early diagnosis of cervical cancer is a cervical cancer prevention screening project. 3. The hit rate of colposcopy biopsy is higher, it can detect subtle lesions early, dynamically observe the changes of reproductive tract diseases, and leave a permanent objective record.

What happens when women bleed after colposcopy? When it comes to bleeding after colposcopy, in fact, it is very normal. The reason why women experience bleeding symptoms after colposcopy can only be understood through understanding the examination operation of colposcopy. First of all, colposcopy mainly uses a colposcope to remove a part of the examinee's cervical tissue, and then sends this part of the cervical tissue for pathological section examination, so as to determine whether the examinee has any disease or lesions, so as to carry out further treatment. Since there is an incision at the cervical opening due to the extraction of cervical tissue, bleeding after colposcopy is naturally a very normal thing. If the examination results show that the woman does not have gynecological inflammation, then there is no need to worry too much, because these post-colposcopy bleeding problems will heal naturally after three to five days. These are all very normal symptoms, and female friends do not need to worry too much. Post-colposcopy bleeding is generally unavoidable and will take about 3 to 5 days to stop. Therefore, in order to avoid inflammation during this recovery period, female friends are advised to pay attention to personal rest and hygiene to avoid bacterial infection and inflammation. In addition, there is no need to worry too much about cervical trauma. As long as the relevant care matters are taken, the risks can be avoided.
