What to do if you have stomach upset and vomit acid

1. Eat less, don’t eat too much, don’t overeat, it’s best to eat 80% full at each meal. Eat regularly, eat three meals a day on time and in the right amounts, and avoid eating before going to bed.

2. Avoid eating high-fat, coffee, and irritating foods. Do not eat spicy, raw, cold, greasy, or hard foods. Try to avoid increasing the gastrointestinal burden and irritation to the stomach, and reduce gastric acid secretion. You can try stomach-nourishing foods such as porridge, noodles, and milk. Eat more alkaline foods such as soda crackers, steamed buns, and drink black tea.

3. In the case of gastrointestinal dysfunction, the gastrointestinal flora is unbalanced, the number of beneficial bacteria is reduced, and harmful bacteria are active. Excessive gastric acid secretion can easily damage the gastric mucosa, causing stomach discomfort. The flora must be adjusted. Eating Zangling Stachyose in the morning and evening can provide food for the beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, feed their growth, inhibit harmful bacteria, adjust the balance of the flora, and restore gastrointestinal function.

4. Some bad habits should be quit, such as quitting smoking, avoiding wearing tight belts, helping obese people lose weight, not lying in bed immediately after meals during the day, doing moderate exercise to enhance gastrointestinal motility, resting on time and not staying up late, maintaining a good mood, and learning to reduce stress.

TCM treatment for excessive gastric acid

1. Take 3 grams of Evodia rutaecarpa, 3 grams of Coptis chinensis, 9 grams of Scolopendra subspinipes, 9 grams of Talcum powder and 9 grams of Semen Cassiae, decocted in water and taken once in the morning and evening.

Efficacy: This prescription is very effective in soothing the liver and stomach, warming the middle and removing dampness, dispersing nodules and relieving pain

2. Shenqu, Houpu 6g each, Chenpi 5g, Huanglian 2g, Zhishi 3g, Douka 3g, Yunling 9g, Chicken Gizzard 6g, Dioscorea 12g, Gentiana 1.5g, Licorice 3g, one dose a day, decocted in water twice, taken in the morning and evening.

Efficacy: It has the effect of suppressing heartburn and acid reflux, warming the spleen and benefiting the stomach. Take five raw peppercorns, crush them and take them orally with warm water. Then eat 20 raw peanuts and you will be cured after 20 minutes. If you eat hard meat, beef and other difficult to digest foods, you may have this problem. Take 5-8 raw peppercorns, put them in your mouth, chew them carefully and swallow them, then eat 20 raw peanuts and you will feel better immediately.

Note: Do not eat watermelon as it is cold in nature and should not be eaten. Don't eat bananas, especially on an empty stomach, as they are cold in nature and can cause stomach acid, which is extremely uncomfortable. Don't eat plums that are very sour.

3. Take 9 grams each of Codonopsis pilosula and Poria cocos, 6 grams each of dried tangerine peel and processed Pinellia ternata, 6 grams each of Atractylodes macrocephala and Amomum villosum, 6 grams each of Amomum villosum, Cyperus rotundus and white peony root, and 3 grams of roasted Licorice root. Boil them in water and take it twice a day, divided into morning and evening. It can be taken regularly and it has miraculous effects.
