Acupuncture points around the navel

Acupuncture points around the navel

There are many acupuncture points on the human body, and the area around the navel is no exception. Many people know that the acupoints around the navel can treat stomach pain, and pressing these acupoints during menstruation can also help relieve pain. In fact, many people don’t know that these acupoints can also be used to lose weight. Although the weight loss effect is not particularly obvious, the effect of long-term pressing of these acupoints is still quite obvious. Be sure to keep your stomach warm. If your stomach gets cold, it may cause diarrhea.

1. Headache: Baihui acupoint can relieve headache

The high temperature outdoors makes people dizzy. Once you enter the low-temperature air-conditioned room indoors, the originally dilated blood vessels and muscles contract instantly, causing even more unbearable headaches.

Massage method: At this time, you can press the Baihui point on the top of the head (from the two ears to the top of the head), which can make the qi and blood flow smoothly throughout the body. The Shenmen point on the wrist (turn your palm up, make a fist, and the depression on the transverse wrist line near the little finger is the acupoint) has a calming and relaxing effect. The well-known temple (the depression between the end of the eyebrow and the corner of the eye) can relieve the trouble of side headaches. If the headache is located in the forehead, try massaging the Hegu point (place the horizontal line of the first joint of your thumb on the base of your other hand and press down on the tip of your thumb. This is the Hegu point). If the pain is in the back of the head, you can hold your head with both hands and press the "Fengchi Point" (located on both sides of the back of the neck, between the hairline and the outer tendons of the spine, which is the starting point of the neck muscles) to relieve the symptoms.

2. Discomfort during menstruation: Sanyinjiao can relieve pain and remove cold

Many women suffer from menstrual disorders, heavy menstrual flow, and menstrual pain. Some even have to take painkillers to relieve the pain.

Massage method: When you have menstrual pain, try stimulating the Xingjian acupoint and Sanyinjiao acupoint. The Xingjian point is located between the big toe and the second toe of both feet. It can help open up the liver meridian and help relieve the harmful effects of liver qi stagnation. Sanyinjiao, which is located 4 finger widths above the outer ankle and on the inner side of the tibia, is the intersection of the spleen, liver, and kidney meridians. People who only suffer from abdominal pain during menstruation should have too much coldness and congestion in the lower abdomen. Stimulating Sanyinjiao can remove blood stasis in the body, produce new blood, relieve pain, and remove cold. For other menstrual problems, you can try massaging the Taixi (replenishes kidney yin, located at the midpoint of the inner ankle tip and the large tendon on the heel) and Zusanli (replenishes qi) acupoints on the foot, which can all solve unstable menstrual cycles.

3. Insomnia: Hegu and Shenmen acupoints can help calm the mind

One quarter of people in Taiwan have trouble sleeping. Pressing acupoints helps the blood flow smoothly and helps you fall asleep.

Massage method: Try the Shenmen acupoint first. To find the acupoint, turn your palm up, clench your fist, and place the edge of your palm close to the little finger. The depression on the transverse wrist line is the acupoint. Pressing the acupoint with your thumb can calm your mind. Hegu point can promote qi circulation and relieve pain, while Neiguan point can calm the mind and soothe the nerves, regulate qi and relieve pain, and relieve symptoms of palpitations, chest tightness and insomnia.

4. Eye fatigue: Massage along the eye socket bone around the eyes until you feel soreness and swelling

Staring at the computer, TV, reading books or documents for a long time will cause sore and uncomfortable eyes. You can press the acupoints around the eyes to relieve the pain.

Massage method: Follow the orbital bone, from the inner upper corner of the eyes to the outside, gently press the Zunzhu point inside the eyebrow, the Jingming point inside the eye, the Chengqi point at the lower edge of the eye where the tears fall, the temples on both sides of the forehead, etc., until you feel soreness and swelling. This can improve blood circulation in the eyes, stimulate the muscles around the entire eye, and relieve discomfort.

Friendly reminder: People with high intraocular pressure, glaucoma, hypertension, or when your eyes are red, swollen, hot, or painful, should avoid massaging acupoints.

5. Allergic rhinitis and cough: Yingxiang treats rhinitis and Shaoshang treats cough

People with allergies will experience more obvious symptoms if they stay in an air-conditioned room in the summer. Low temperatures can irritate the nasal cavity and trachea, especially the air conditioning filters that harbor dirt and accumulate a large number of dust mites, which can easily induce respiratory problems, such as runny nose, sneezing, and coughing.
