In daily life, no matter what disease you suffer from, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. Sometimes some diseases do not seem serious, but because they are not examined and treated in time, they often lead to more serious consequences. Facial tumors generally grow slowly and are mostly benign, but you should pay attention to changes in facial tumors in your daily life to avoid the condition becoming serious. Early symptoms of facial tumors It usually manifests itself in three types: ulcerative type, infiltrative type and papillary type. At the beginning, it often presents as local ulcers, nodules or small nodules. Generally there is no obvious spontaneous pain, but pain may occur as the tumor grows rapidly and infiltrates into surrounding and deep tissues. The nodule enlarges, the tumor protrudes outward, the surface ulcerates, or the edge is raised in a cauliflower shape, the base is hard, there may be necrosis in the center, and there is a foul odor. It is often accompanied by infection and the surface is prone to bleeding. Cancers in different parts of the body cause different symptoms and functional disorders due to damage to adjacent tissues and organs. For example, tongue cancer causes obvious pain and varying degrees of limited tongue movement, affecting swallowing, speaking and other functions. It is highly malignant, develops rapidly, and can cause lymph node metastasis in the early stages. Gingival cancer often affects the alveolar bone, causing teeth to loosen or fall out easily. Continuing to spread can invade the jaw bone, invade the maxillary sinus in the maxilla, and affect the inferior alveolar nerve in the mandible, causing pain or numbness. What diseases are caused by facial tumors? 1. Oral ulcers do not heal, the edges are bulging, the center is uneven, and there is obvious pain. 2. Local lymph node enlargement occurs. Oral cancer often metastasizes to nearby cervical lymph nodes. If the cervical lymph nodes suddenly swell, you need to check the oral condition to rule out tumor metastasis. 3. If your teeth become loose or fall out, your teeth do not clench when chewing food, or you have other symptoms such as facial nerve abnormalities, numbness, unexplained nasal bleeding, you should see a doctor as soon as possible to find out the cause. 4. Functional limitation and infection of other organs in the affected area. How to prevent facial tumors 1. Many people have some habit of chewing gum. The results of the study show that people who like to chew gum are much more likely to develop oral cancer than normal people. 2. Also, try to smoke less. Although smoking is bad for the lungs, it is also very harmful to the oral cavity. The probability of developing lesions is two to three times that of ordinary people. 3. It’s because of drinking. The complications of drinking are generally 50% of the average person. Drinking a small amount of alcohol is good for your health, but be careful not to go out and get drunk with friends or colleagues. |
