Dandelion flowers taste slightly bitter, sweet and cold. Dandelion flowers have the function of clearing away heat and removing fire, promoting urination and eliminating knots. They can treat subacute mastitis, lymphadenitis, subacute conjunctivitis, colds and fever, subacute tonsillitis, subacute bronchitis, stomach disease, hepatitis, cholecystitis, dysentery, enteritis, urinary tract infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, carbuncle, and furuncle.

What diseases can dandelions cure? Dandelion flower remedies

1. Fever, cold and flu

Take 30 grams of dandelion flowers, 10 grams each of siler and schizonepeta, and 15 grams of isatis indigotica, decocted in water and taken orally.

2. Various inflammations

60 grams of dandelion flowers and 30 grams of honeysuckle tea are decocted in water to extract juice. Add 100 grams of rice and cook into porridge. Take twice a day for 3 to 5 days.

3. Lung abscess

60 grams of fresh dandelion flowers and 30 grams of Houttuynia cordata root are decocted in water and appropriate amount of white sugar is added. Take 1 dose per day for 3 to 5 days.

4. Chronic gastritis

30 grams of dandelion flowers and a pig's tripe, add water and stew until cooked, eat the tripe and drink the soup in two portions. It can also be used for peptic ulcer (gastric and duodenal ulcer).

5. Acute cholecystitis

50 grams of fresh dandelion flowers and 10 grams of Centella asiatica, decocted in water and taken orally. Take for 15 consecutive days.

6. Dysuria

Take 60 grams each of dandelion flowers and corn silk, decoct in water and add sugar to taste.

7. Carbuncle, furuncle and ulcer

30 grams each of dandelion flowers and Viola yedoensis, 60 grams of mung beans. First decoct the Chinese medicine to extract the juice, then add the mung beans and cook into porridge.

8. Icteric hepatitis

50 grams each of dandelion flowers, Artemisia capillaris, and white sugar, and 10 red dates. Cook porridge together and eat 1 to 2 times a day.

9. Phlegm-heat in the lungs

15 grams of dandelion flowers, 12 grams each of honeysuckle tea, Houttuynia cordata root, bupleurum, and mulberry bark, 9 grams each of raw gardenia, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Fritillaria thunbergii, northern apricot kernel, and Trichosanthes kirilowii seed, and 6 grams of licorice. Decoction in water.

10. Sore throat

Take 15 grams each of dandelion flower and isatis root powder, 12 grams each of bupleurum, honeysuckle tea, fructus aurantii, gardenia, and trichosanthes peel, 9 grams each of fritillary bulb and northern apricot, and 3 grams of licorice. Decoction in water.

11. Urinary stranguria

Take 18 grams each of dandelion flowers, honeysuckle vines, and plantain, 15 grams each of moneywort and Imperata root, 12 grams each of bupleurum, honeysuckle tea, Poria, Akebia, Polygonum multiflorum, and feldspar, and 6 grams of licorice. Decoction in water.

12. Cold-damp jaundice

Take 15 grams each of dandelion flower, artemisia capillaris, and isatis root granules, 12 grams each of gentian and plantain, 9 grams each of raw gardenia, phellodendron, and creeping cycad, 6 grams of coptis root, and 3 grams of licorice. Decoction in water.

13. Appendicitis toxic heat stage

18 grams of dandelion flowers, 15 grams of honeysuckle tea, 12 grams each of wax gourd seeds, moutan bark, and toosendan seeds, 6 grams each of coptis chinensis and nard, and 3 grams of licorice. Decoction in water.

14. Unknown swelling and pain

Take 200 grams of fresh dandelion flowers, 10 grams of snake skin, and 5 grams of borneol powder. Mash the dandelion flowers into a paste; dry the snake skin and grind it into powder; mix all the medicines together and apply to the wound. Cover with gauze and secure with tape. Remove after 20 minutes. Apply once a day.

15. Ulcers on lower limbs

Take 25 grams each of dandelion flowers and wild chrysanthemums, 3 onion roots, 15 grams of wormwood leaves, and an appropriate amount of white sugar. Add appropriate amount of water to the first 4 ingredients, boil until boiling, remove the residue and take the juice, dip a cotton ball in the juice and apply it to the wound, sprinkle with white sugar, cover with gauze, and secure with tape. Change the dressing every 3 days until healed.

16. Hot Constipation

Take 10-30g of dandelion flowers, add 300ml of water and boil until 50-100ml is left, remove the residue and take the juice, divided into 2 doses, 1 dose per day.

17. Red and white dysentery

Take 30 grams of dandelion flowers and an appropriate amount of white sugar. Add appropriate amount of water to dandelion flowers, boil until boiling, remove the residue and take the juice, add white sugar, take it in 2 times, 1 dose per day.

18. Treat hemorrhoids

You can take either dried or fresh dandelion. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day. If you have hemorrhoid bleeding, you need to fry the dandelion flowers until they turn light yellow. For incarcerated internal hemorrhoids, thrombosed external hemorrhoids and inflammatory external hemorrhoids, water decoction fumigation and washing are used in combination.

19. Treat children with influenza, mumps

Take 20 grams of fresh dandelion peanuts, 1 egg white, and a small amount of white sugar. First, mash the dandelion flowers, add egg white and white sugar to make it sticky, apply it to the injured area, once a day. This method is very effective. After applying the medicine, the patient first feels comfortable and refreshed, and then the pain is relieved. The cheek swelling decreases in 2-3 days, and the systemic symptoms are greatly improved. The fever can be controlled and the patient is cured in 7-8 days.
