What to do if your toes are numb

What to do if your toes are numb

Nowadays, many people work in front of computers every day, sitting all day long and rarely walking, which leads to poor blood circulation and numbness in parts of the body. If this continues for a long time, the blockage of various parts of the body will lead to many diseases. So is there any way to solve the problem of toe numbness caused by sitting for a long time? Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes on unblocking. As long as the acupoints are unblocked, many symptoms of the human body will be solved.

Many people experience numbness or stiffness in their toes, feeling numb, swollen, difficult to flex and extend, and inflexible in movement. "Feeling like ants crawling" or "pins and needles", some patients have "socks" or "sleeves" type abnormal sensations, and feel that their skin has become thicker and their senses are dulled. Many patients often experience attacks during sleep at night, and may wake up from numbness, or feel swelling, numbness, discomfort and stiffness in their hands after getting up in the morning, which can be relieved after a little activity. The above symptoms often worsen after catching cold or being tired. Accompanied by symptoms such as fatigue, and fear of cold hands and feet.

It is not very obvious at the beginning, and this phenomenon does not occur often. When the weather is cold or the hands and feet are cold, this phenomenon will be more obvious. And if you observe carefully, the nails of the numb toes are thicker, much thicker than usual. And the more severe the numbness, the darker the color of the nails, and the less glossy it is. When you see a doctor, you are told that it is not onychomycosis. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, these phenomena are actually caused by deficiency of Qi and blood, invasion of cold evil into the body, and poor circulation of Qi and blood. method

1. Soak your hands and feet

Peel the ginger (or 20-30 peppercorns), cut it into shreds, put a small piece of ginger in the water at a time, and boil it in a pot without contact with oil for a few minutes. Then put warm water in a foot basin, and add the boiled ginger water (or peppercorn water). Soak your hands first and then your feet. When the water is warm, add ginger water. Continue this two or three times. Soak for about 15 minutes. After soaking your feet, dry them and immediately put on socks or cover them with a blanket. You cannot catch cold because your pores are open, so as to prevent cold air from entering your body.

2. Massage and tapping

Use a massage hammer to tap your arms and legs, following the principle: first left then right, first up then down, first outside then inside. First tap the outside of your left arm, from top to bottom. The force should not be too strong, usually 3-5 times. Then the inside of the arm, the whole arm feels slightly warm and itchy. The right arm is massaged in the same way. For the legs, tap the outside of the left leg first, then the inside. The same order is repeated for the right leg. The skin is slightly hot, a little painful but also a little itchy, which is very good

3. Unblocking Qi and Blood

Generally, problems with the cervical and lumbar vertebrae will also compress the nerves, causing insufficient nourishment to the nerve endings, so it is necessary to scrape the Dazhui point, shoulder and neck area: lumbar vertebrae 1-5, sacrum - coccyx, Jiaji points, and bladder meridians on both sides. Lower limbs; Chengfu point--Chengshan point. Combined with cupping, Chengfu point, Weizhong point, and Chengshan point. The effect will be very good.

4. Healthy diet and sleep

Eat more warm foods and eat less cold foods. Keep a regular schedule and get enough sleep.
