In life, many people have experienced sudden dizziness, but the phenomenon disappears quickly. When this phenomenon occurs, many people feel puzzled and don’t know what causes it. When sudden dizziness occurs, it is relatively dangerous, so patients should find out the cause of dizziness in time according to the situation and then receive effective treatment. 1. Anemia It may cause dizziness, which may worsen after changes in posture or labor, and may be accompanied by pallor, dyspnea, fatigue, tachycardia, a rapid and weak pulse, and prolonged capillary refill time. 2. Arrhythmia There may be dizziness after syncope, which may last for several seconds or longer. The patient may have palpitations, an irregular and rapid pulse, low blood pressure, fatigue, blurred vision, and confusion. 3. Carotid sinus sensitivity is too high There may be brief episodes of dizziness or even syncope, which may be caused by stimulation of 1 or 2 carotid sinuses when wearing a tight collar or moving the head, accompanied by sweating, nausea, and pallor. 4. Emphysema An exertional or chronic wet cough with dizziness is characteristic of the disease, which may be accompanied by dyspnea, hypoxia, weight loss, use of accessory muscles and pursed lip breathing, tachypnea, peripheral cyanosis, and absence of breath sounds. There may also be barrel chest and clubbing of the fingers. 5. Generalized Anxiety Syndrome Generalized anxiety syndrome may present with persistent anxiety, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and persistent dizziness that worsen as the disease progresses. Patients may have movement tension such as twitching, restlessness, myalgia, frowning, and being easily frightened. They may also have autonomic hyperfunction such as sweating, palpitations, cyanosis of the hands, dry mouth, paresthesia, indigestion, alternating hot and cold, frequent urination, diarrhea, throat swelling, pallor, and a rapid pulse. 6. Hypertension Dizziness caused by hypertension is preceded by syncope, which is relieved after rest, and is accompanied by headache, blurred vision, and retinal changes such as hemorrhage and retinal arteriosclerosis. Exudation, papilledema. 7. Hyperventilation syndrome Hyperventilation syndrome can cause dizziness lasting for several minutes. If the attacks are frequent, the dizziness may persist between attacks, accompanied by sweating, pallor, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, palpitations, tremors, fatigue, peripheral circulatory failure, and abnormal sensations. 8. Hypoglycemia Low fasting blood sugar can cause central nervous system dysfunction and lead to dizziness, accompanied by headache, blurred vision, irritability, and changes in mental state. |
