If used for kidney deficiency and bone atrophy, it is often combined with tortoise shell, rehmannia, Achyranthes bidentata, Cynomorium songaricum, roasted ginger, red peony root, rehmannia, Phellodendron chinense, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, such as Hu Qian Wan.
