Oral isotretinoin

Isotretinoin generally refers to isotretinoin capsules, which are mainly used to treat severe acne. Everyone should be familiar with acne. It is prone to occur during adolescence and has self-healing properties. It can heal itself even without special treatment methods. But some people's conditions are more serious and they need to take isotretinoin orally to treat acne. You must have a full understanding of the drug when taking it.

The dosage and usage of isotretinoin capsules should be under the guidance of a doctor. The dosage for oral treatment of acne should vary from person to person, ranging from 0.1 to 1 (mg/kg)/day. The generally recommended starting dose is 0.5 (mg/kg)/day, taken orally in two doses. This drug is fat-soluble, and taking it with meals can promote absorption. After 2 to 4 weeks of treatment, the dosage can be adjusted as appropriate based on clinical effects and adverse reactions. One course of treatment is 6 to 8 weeks. The medication can be stopped for 8 weeks between courses. Symptoms can be continuously improved in the short term after stopping the medication.
