What is impaired glomerular filtration function?

As we all know, glomerular filtration rate is an effective method to detect human kidneys, so in medicine, when we say that there is a problem with the human kidneys, we mean that the glomerular filtration rate indicator in the kidneys is abnormal, too high or too low. Both of these situations are considered to be impaired glomerular filtration function. The most common problem in life is the decrease in glomerular filtration rate, the main symptoms of which include decreased urine volume, etc., which directly affects people's health.

The reason for the decrease in glomerular filtration rate is that the functional cells in the kidneys actually play a functional role. The main function is to remove harmful substances from the blood. This removal function is the filtration function of the glomerulus. For this reason, people attach great importance to the strength of the filtration capacity of the glomerulus. What should creatinine be? Well, after understanding the definition of creatinine, let us look at the clinical causes of creatinine in kidney disease. Blood creatinine will only increase when the glomerular filtration rate is lower than 60 ml per minute. Using it to infer the glomerular filtration rate has a specificity of 100% and a sensitivity of 60%. That is to say, those with elevated blood creatinine must have a glomerular filtration rate lower than normal. If it is normal, their glomerular filtration rate may be normal or lower. If the reciprocal of serum creatinine (e.g. 884 μmol/L is 10 mg/100 ml, and its reciprocal is 10 ml/min) is used to estimate the glomerular filtration rate, it will be overestimated due to tubular excretion. Expert answer: Can Urea Clearing Granules lower creatinine? Then how to really lower creatinine? First of all, patients must be clear about the real reason for the increase in creatinine. The reason why creatinine increases is that the filtration function of the kidneys is damaged, which makes it impossible to eliminate toxins from the body, causing creatinine to rise rapidly. So what are the dangers of a rapid increase in creatinine? An increase in creatinine can lead to an imbalance of acid and alkali in the body. If it is not resolved in time, it can cause complications such as heart failure. Therefore, the treatment of creatinine must essentially reduce creatinine. The glomerular filtration membrane is composed of three layers, namely the glomerular capillary endothelial cells, the basement membrane and the visceral epithelial cells (podocytes) of the glomerular capsule. Generally speaking, when acute inflammation occurs in the glomerulus, the swelling of endothelial cells and the accumulation of inflammatory exudates can reduce the permeability of the filtration membrane, causing a decrease in the glomerular filtration rate. Increased permeability of the glomerular filtration membrane is an important cause of hematuria. When massive blood loss, dehydration and other reasons cause a decrease in blood volume or a drop in the mean arterial pressure, the glomerular capillary blood pressure will decrease accordingly, which can lead to a decrease in the glomerular effective filtration pressure; and the relative contraction and relaxation of the glomerular afferent arterioles and efferent arterioles directly affects the glomerular capillary blood pressure, and can also cause changes in the glomerular effective filtration pressure and glomerular filtration rate. The pressure inside the glomerular capsule is generally relatively constant, but when urinary tract obstruction, tubular obstruction and renal interstitial edema compress the renal tubules, the pressure inside the glomerular capsule increases, thereby reducing the effective filtration pressure and lowering the glomerular filtration rate. Changes in plasma colloid osmotic pressure generally do not have a significant effect on the glomerular effective filtration pressure. In the early stages of diabetes, kidney volume increases, glomerular filtration rate increases, and a high filtration state is observed. Later, interstitial proteinuria or microalbuminuria gradually appears. As the course of the disease prolongs, persistent proteinuria, edema, hypertension, and decreased glomerular filtration rate appear, followed by renal insufficiency and uremia, which is one of the main causes of death in diabetes. Purple Ganoderma lucidum is often used to prevent or treat diabetic nephropathy.
