Cimetidine injection

The obvious effect of cimetidine injection is that it can inhibit gastric acid secretion and prevent excessive gastric acid secretion at night. In addition, it has a certain protective effect on corrosive gastritis caused by chemical stimulation. It is often used to treat duodenal ulcers and reflux esophagitis. When using the medicine, you should be aware of some contraindications. Patients who are allergic to the drug cannot use it.

Indications

1. Treat active duodenal ulcer and prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcer. 2. Gastric ulcer. 3. Reflux esophagitis. 4.Gastrinoma (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). 5. Prevent and treat stress and drug-induced ulcers. 6. Peptic ulcer complicated by bleeding. 7. It can be used for the treatment of immunodeficiency caused by various reasons and as an adjuvant treatment for tumors. 8. It is also reported that cimetidine can be used to treat herpes zoster and other herpes infections including genital herpes. It can also be used for female androgenic alopecia, acne, hirsutism, herpes zoster, etc.

Contraindications

1. People who are allergic to cimetidine. 2. Since cimetidine can pass through the placental barrier and enter breast milk, it is prohibited for pregnant and lactating women to avoid causing liver dysfunction in the fetus and infant. 3. There have been reports of acute pancreatitis caused by the use of cimetidine in both animal experiments and clinical practice, so cimetidine should not be used in patients with acute pancreatitis.

Dosage

Film production:

1. For the treatment of duodenal ulcer or pathological hypersecretion, take 0.2-0.4 g at a time, 4 times a day, after meals and before bedtime, or 0.8 g at a time, once before bedtime; 2. For the prevention of ulcer recurrence, take 0.4 g at a time, before bedtime; 3. For patients with renal insufficiency, the dosage is reduced to 0.2 g at a time, once every 12 hours; 4. For elderly patients, the dosage should be reduced as appropriate. 5. Children: Oral administration, 5-10 mg/kg per time, 2-4 times a day. Injection: 1. Intravenous drip: dilute 0.2 g of this product with 250-500 ml of 5% glucose injection or 0.9% sodium chloride injection or glucose sodium chloride injection and then drip intravenously at a drip rate of 1-4 mg/kg per hour, 0.2-0.6 g each time. 2. Intravenous injection: dilute with 20 ml of the above solution and slowly inject intravenously (2-3 minutes), once every 6 hours, 0.2 g each time. 3. Intramuscular injection: 0.2 g at a time, once every 6 hours.
