Manic psychosis, also known as manic depression, is a mental illness that has a great impact on patients. It not only causes patients to have extreme emotions, but also makes patients feel particularly despair and helplessness, leading to suicidal thoughts. Therefore, for patients with manic depression, timely counseling and guidance are necessary. When necessary, medication can be used to alleviate the condition.
1. Hazards Bipolar disorder is a more serious mental illness characterized by extreme mood changes. The typical bipolar patient can slide from ecstasy to depression in a cyclical manner. When the patient is in a low mood, he will appear desperate and inferior, and feel that he is hopeless. They became isolated and unable to work. When in a manic phase, the patient seems to have unlimited energy. He can go without sleep or rest for twenty-four hours or more, and is cheerful and easily excited all day long. They are often self-inflated, desperate to show off themselves, talk incessantly, go on shopping sprees, drive fast, have promiscuous sex, etc. This crazy cycle will come suddenly and without any prior signs. Some patients suffer frequently. 2. Symptoms Symptoms of depressive psychosis 1: Depressive psychosis is fundamentally different from general "unhappiness". It has obvious characteristics, and the three main symptoms are depression, slow thinking and motor inhibition. Symptoms of depressive psychosis 2: Characterized by being worse during the day and better at night, often accompanied by anxiety. In clinical practice, patients with typical symptoms are rare. Many patients have only one or two of these symptoms, and the severity varies from person to person. Depression, anxiety, loss of interest, lack of energy, pessimism, low self-esteem, etc. are all common symptoms of depressive psychosis, which are sometimes difficult to distinguish from general short-term bad mood. If the above-mentioned discomfort is severe in the morning and partially relieved in the afternoon or evening, then the possibility of suffering from depressive psychosis is relatively large and we should be vigilant. Symptoms of depressive psychosis 3: palpitations, chest tightness, gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, decreased appetite and weight loss. Sleep disorders are prominent, mostly difficulty falling asleep. Suicide is one of the most dangerous symptoms of depressive psychosis. The suicide rate among depressed psychiatric patients is 20 times higher than that of the general population. More than half of the people who commit suicide in society may be depressed and mentally ill. Some people who commit suicide for unknown reasons may have suffered from severe depression and mental illness before their death, but it was not discovered in time.
Treatment There are generally different descriptions of this disease. Either manic schizophrenia (positive) or depressive schizophrenia (negative). Schizophrenia, to be precise. Currently, antipsychotic drugs at home and abroad can only control the disease but cannot cure it. Moreover, it has strong dependence, drug resistance and side effects. You need to take medicine for life and it cannot be cured. |
