How does one get pregnant?

Many people don't know much about the process of conception because they are still ignorant. Generally speaking from a medical point of view, the sperm and egg must first combine, then enter the fallopian tube, and finally reach the uterus. After landing in the uterus, they begin to develop slowly. It takes nearly a year from a little bit at the beginning to a large fetus.

Conception process

From a medical point of view, the process of conception includes

:The ovaries release normal eggs; the fallopian tubes pick up the eggs and transport them to the normal fertilization site. Some patients are very worried that all the sperm will flow out after sexual intercourse and not enter the body. This confuses the two different concepts of "semen" and "sperm". What we see flowing out is semen, not sperm. There are a large number of sperm in the semen, but the size of the sperm is very small and can only be seen under a microscope. Normal sperm are very active and have good mobility, and can enter the female body for fertilization. Since the survival time of eggs and sperm in the body is relatively short, sexual intercourse must be performed at the right time in order to achieve conception[1].

ConditionsEdit

1. Men's testicles can produce normal sperm. The amount of semen ejaculated by a normal adult male is 2-6 ml, the number of sperm in each ml of semen should be more than 60 million, and 60% of the sperm are motile.

Above, abnormal sperm is below 30%. If the sperm does not meet the above standards, it will not be easy for the woman to become pregnant.

2. A woman's ovaries can produce healthy and mature eggs. For women with normal menstruation, a healthy and mature egg is released in each menstrual cycle, which gives them a chance to become pregnant. It is not easy for women to conceive due to ovarian insufficiency or irregular menstruation that causes anovulation.

3. Have normal sexual life before and after the female ovulation period to give the sperm and egg a chance to meet and fertilize. Sperm can survive in the female vagina for 1-3 days, and the egg can survive for about 1 day after being released. The female ovulates about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Conception is possible only if sexual intercourse occurs within a few days before and after ovulation. Having sex during the non-ovulatory period will not result in pregnancy.

4. The reproductive tract must be unobstructed. The male's vas deferens must be unobstructed so that sperm can be discharged through normal sexual intercourse and enter the female reproductive tract to combine with the egg. The female reproductive tract must also be unobstructed so that the sperm that enters the vagina during sexual intercourse can pass through the cervix and uterus unimpeded and reach the fallopian tube to meet the egg for fertilization. The fertilized egg can also enter the uterine cavity smoothly. If the fallopian tube is blocked, the sperm and egg will lose the opportunity to combine, so once the fallopian tube is blocked, the chance of natural conception is completely lost.

5. The intrauterine environment must be suitable for the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. After the egg is fertilized in the ampulla of the fallopian tube, it develops while moving through the fallopian tube toward the uterus. It reaches the uterine cavity after 3-4 days, is buried in the nutrient-rich endometrium after 6-8 days, and then continues to develop into a fetus. That means pregnancy.

6. Under normal physiological conditions, if a couple lives together without taking any contraceptive measures, the chance of conception is 20% each month, 70% in six months, and 80% in one year. If they do not take any contraceptive measures for more than one year and remain infertile, they should undergo a medical examination. In other words, even if a couple has no fertility problems, they cannot get pregnant any month they want.
