Pharmacological Action

1. Blood pressure:

The extract of Laeretin (alcohol) can lower blood pressure without slowing down the heart rate. It is effective for dogs when injected intravenously with 1-1.5g (raw drug) and no toxicity has been observed. Cherimoside has the effect of lowering blood pressure in rabbits. Intravenous injection of 1-1.5g (crude drug) of ethanol extract of Glechoma longituba can lower blood pressure in dogs.

2. Antibacterial effect:

The 100% decoction has an inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, etc. using the flat paper method.

3. Blood:

Oral administration or intraperitoneal injection of the alcohol extract at 2.2 g/kg daily for 6 consecutive days had an inhibitory effect on mouse leukemia L615, with an inhibition rate of 28.5%. Its variant, Galium aparine L. Var. Tenerum (Gren. Et Godr.) Rchb. 5g crude drug/ml, was positive for both acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute granulocytic leukemia in the methylene blue test tube screening test.

①Treatment of bacillary dysentery

Boil 0.5-2 liang of dried Lala vine in water and take it twice a day; or make it into tablets, 0.3 grams each tablet, 10 tablets each time, 4 times a day; or use extract tablets, 0.3 grams each tablet, 4 tablets each time, 4 times a day.
