What to do if you can't eat during confinement

What to do if you can't eat during confinement

1. Do not overeat, eat regularly

New mothers should not be picky about food or overeat during the confinement period. There are 5-6 meals a day during the confinement period. The diet should be regular to allow the stomach and intestines to slowly adapt to the rhythm of eating. This will allow food to be slowly digested and absorbed, increasing appetite. It should be noted that you cannot take supplements immediately after delivery, but should take them gradually.

Recommended recipe: Stir-fried mushrooms and tomatoes

Ingredients: appropriate amount of tomatoes, straw mushrooms, green peppers, cooking wine, sugar, water starch, salt, vinegar

Method: Wash and slice tomatoes and green peppers, wash and cut straw mushrooms into pieces and blanch them in hot water; heat oil in a pan, add straw mushrooms and cooking wine and stir-fry, add tomato pieces and green pepper slices and stir-fry until cooked, finally add sugar, salt and vinegar to season, and thicken with water starch.

2. A good mood can promote appetite

Some mothers can't eat when they are in a bad mood. If mothers are easily depressed and unhappy during the confinement period, this will affect the secretion of gastric juice and cause loss of appetite. Therefore, new mothers should take some free time to do things they like, such as listening to music, reading books, exercising, and try to keep themselves calm and happy.

3. Do some simple housework and exercise

New mothers should not lie in bed all day during the confinement period. This will not only make it easy to accumulate fat, but also be bad for the body's recovery. The palace master suggested that mothers can do simple housework, take more walks after meals, or do postpartum yoga, which will help speed up gastrointestinal motility and promote digestion and absorption.
