Does your baby have red bumps on his face due to freezing?

Frostbite is a very common phenomenon in life. Most of the frostbite is caused by not paying attention to local warming or poor local blood circulation. In general, frostbite cream can be used to treat frostbite. You must keep warm at ordinary times, and it is best to rub your hands when you are free to promote blood circulation. It is best not to rub the frostbitten area. In order to avoid worsening of the disease, you must pay attention to local warming at ordinary times.

What to do if your baby has frostbite on his face

If your baby suffers from frostbite, you should treat it promptly. If there is no ulceration, apply frostbite ointment or VE ointment to the red, swollen and painful areas. You can also ask a Chinese medicine doctor to prescribe some herbal medicine for decoction and washing.

When blisters appear and blisters rupture to form ulcers, it is best to ask a doctor to treat it, so as to avoid improper treatment that aggravates the disease and causes complications.

If your baby has ever suffered from frostbite, parents must pay special attention to the parts of his (her) daily life that are prone to frostbite, and try to prevent the occurrence of frostbite. If your baby has never suffered from frostbite, don't be careless, as you must pay attention to all aspects of your baby's delicate skin.

In addition, folk remedies can effectively prevent and treat baby frostbite, so you might as well give it a try:

① In summer, mash garlic into a paste, heat it in the sun, and apply it frequently to areas affected by frostbite. This is the so-called "treating winter diseases in summer."

② Use ultraviolet light to irradiate the frostbitten areas once every 10 days for half an hour each time.

③ Soak the areas prone to frostbite in a decoction of dried eggplant. Multiple soakings can also prevent the occurrence and recurrence of frostbite.

How to care for frostbite after it occurs

If frostbite has occurred, it should be treated promptly. Early frostbite can be rewarmed with hot water. That is, immerse the affected area in 38-42℃ hot water, 3 times a day, half an hour each time, so that the temperature of the frozen part can be restored to the normal skin temperature as soon as possible, when the skin turns red. Local hot compresses can be applied to areas that are inconvenient to soak. You can also apply 1%, 2% iodine, turpentine and frostbite cream externally. If you have frostbite, do not use hot water or fire. For frostbite that has not broken, apply frostbite cream or Hirudo ointment during the day, 1 to 2 times a day; at night, use Chinese medicine (20 grams each of cinnamon twig, safflower, aconite, schizonepeta, perilla leaf, and dried ginger, add 3000 ml of water, boil and let warm) to soak and rub the frostbitten area with the residue for 15 minutes, once a night. Use it for 2 consecutive weeks as a course of treatment. It is effective for recurrent frostbite. This method can be started when frostbite first recurs in early winter. Combined with daily warmth, diet, exercise, and medication (such as niacin), most mild frostbite can be completely cured within 1 to 2 years without recurring.

If the frostbite has broken, wash it with hydrogen peroxide and then apply antibiotic ointment, such as tetracycline, neomycin, ichthyol ointment, etc., which can play a role in treating frostbite. If frostbite has broken, you should go to the hospital for treatment. If frostbite does not heal repeatedly and is accompanied by symptoms such as joint pain, it may indicate other diseases such as cryoglobulinemia, Raynaud's disease, etc., and you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.
