Symptoms of residual gastritis

Symptoms of residual gastritis

Gastroenteritis is a relatively common gastrointestinal disease that has a great impact on patients, especially chronic gastroenteritis, which lasts for a long time. Depending on the severity of the patient's illness, the patient often suffers from nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, which are the three main symptoms. More serious cases may also cause blood in the stool and pus. Let us understand what the symptoms of gastroenteritis are?

Symptoms of residual gastritis

1. The incidence of acute gastroenteritis is higher in summer and autumn. Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, the disease will occur as long as your diet is infected by intestinal bacteria. The general incubation period is 12 to 36 hours, and nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are the main symptoms of acute enteritis. 2. The severity of diarrhea in patients with gastroenteritis varies. Mild cases may defecate 3 to 4 times a day, or diarrhea and constipation may occur alternately; severe cases may defecate once every 1 to 2 hours, or even suffer from fecal incontinence, which seriously affects the patient's life and work.

3. If gastroenteritis is not treated in time or the condition worsens seriously and the rectum is severely affected, a feeling of tenesmus may occur. The feces are mostly paste-like, mixed with a large amount of mucus, and often contain pus and blood. 4. Distinguishing the symptoms of gastroenteritis is crucial for treatment. Some patients have fresh blood in their stools, and the lesions are limited to the rectum, which is called hemorrhagic proctitis. The blood or stool is discharged separately, or attached to the surface of normal or dry stool, which is often mistaken for hemorrhoidal bleeding.

Precautions for acute gastroenteritis

1. If patients with acute gastroenteritis become dehydrated, they can drink some light salt water, fruit juice, rice porridge, etc. to replenish water, salt and vitamins. 2. If you have excessive flatulence and bowel sounds, you should avoid eating sucrose and foods that are easy to produce gas and ferment. Avoid eating fried, pan-fried, raw, cold, oily and fiber-rich foods. 3. Food should be easy to digest, soft, with little residue and non-irritating. It can reduce the mechanical damage that high fiber and fat components may cause to the colon mucosa. 4. Patients with acute gastroenteritis should pay more attention to food hygiene, avoid drinking alcohol and eating spicy and irritating condiments. Avoid eating milk, seafood, honey and their products. 5. Persimmons, pomegranates, and apples contain tannic acid and fruit acid, which have astringent and antidiarrheal effects. Patients with chronic enteritis can eat them frequently. Eat more of these antidiarrheal foods to relieve diarrhea. 6. Strengthen exercise, improve physical fitness, and strengthen food hygiene and water resource management.
