Sudden large dandruff

Sudden large dandruff

Dandruff is very much a personal image. However, dandruff may be caused by various reasons, such as excessive scalp secretion, improper eating habits, excessive mental stress, endocrine disorders, lack of sleep, improper use of shampoo, etc. So what should you do if you suddenly have large pieces of dandruff? How should we prevent the adverse effects of dandruff in our lives?

In areas where sebaceous glands are distributed, there is a microorganism called PITYRO-SPORUMOVALE, a yeast-like fungus that normally coexists peacefully with humans, but some people suddenly lose their resistance to this microorganism. The fungus spores of dandruff can cause excessive sebum secretion and produce dandruff. ·

Scalp cell dysfunction

The cells of the scalp also have a certain metabolic process like the skin. After the basal cells proliferate, they gradually mature and push outward, eventually becoming a lifeless stratum corneum and falling off. If there is something wrong with this process, the maturation of scalp cells will be incomplete. It will flake off. For example, the elderly, malnourished people, patients undergoing chemotherapy or suffering from psoriasis may suffer from increased dandruff. ·

Other reasons

1. The shampoo is not washed off thoroughly.

2. Using poor quality shampoo with too strong degreasing power.

3. Excessive sebum on the scalp.

4. Improper diet, drinking, and spicy food.

5. The autonomic nervous system is easily tense.

6. Lack of sleep and fatigue.

7. Gastrointestinal disorders, unbalanced nutrition, and lack of vitamins A, B6, and B2.

8. Using inferior hair products.

9. Abnormal endocrine factors.

10. Seasonal change.

Prevention and measures

1. Avoid eating fried, greasy, spicy, alcoholic and caffeinated foods, as they will stimulate and increase the formation of oily scalp and scalp, so you should quit eating them.

2. Avoid eating overly sweet foods. Because hair is alkaline and desserts are acidic, they will affect the acid-base balance in the body and accelerate the production of scalp.

3. Do not pour shampoo directly on your head. Because unfoamed shampoo can irritate the scalp and cause or aggravate the appearance of dandruff, it should be poured into the hands and rubbed to form foam before applying to the hair.

4. Wash your hair with warm water. Overheated water will stimulate the oil secretion of the scalp, making the hair oilier; overly cold water will shrink the pores and the dirt in the hair cannot be washed away. Use warm water at about 20℃.

5. Do not comb your hair with your nails. Use your fingertips to gently massage your scalp, which can not only increase blood circulation but also reduce dandruff.

6. Change your shampoo every seven days. The cleansing effect of shampoo on hair is only temporary. After seven days, the scalp will adapt and the cleansing effect will be lost. It is advisable to buy two shampoos at the same time and use them alternately.

7. Chemical products such as hairspray will damage hair, irritate the skin, and also aggravate dandruff formation.

8. Combing your hair 100 times in the morning and evening can help improve blood circulation, reduce hair loss and dandruff. From ancient times to the present, people who pay attention to health preservation have attached great importance to combing their hair. There are many records about combing hair in traditional Chinese medicine. From the perspective of modern medicine, combing your hair is not only good for your beauty, but also has significant medical effects and is one of the ways to maintain brain health.

9. You can eat some foods that are high in zinc. Such as: brown rice, oysters, lamb, beef, pork, red rice, chicken, pasta, milk, eggs. You can also eat more foods rich in vitamins B2 and B6. Vitamin B2 has the effect of treating seborrheic dermatitis; vitamin B6 plays an important role in the normal metabolism of proteins and lipids. Foods rich in vitamin B2 include animal liver, kidney, heart, egg yolk, milk and vegetables. In addition to the foods mentioned above, other foods rich in vitamin B6 include wheat germ, yeast, cereals, etc.

10. Pay attention to scalp hygiene. Wash your hair frequently with warm water, usually once a week, and once every 3 to 4 days if necessary. It is not advisable to use soap with too strong alkaline properties when washing your hair, because alkaline soaps will stimulate the keratinization of scalp epithelial cells and produce dandruff. You can use sulfur soap or shampoo to wash your hair.

11. Quit smoking, drink less alcohol, and avoid eating spicy and fatty foods. When it itches, avoid scratching violently or scraping with sharp objects. When dandruff is produced more, it will be accompanied by itchy scalp. Spicy and irritating foods will stimulate the increase of oily scalp and scalp formation, making the itching of scalp worse. Therefore, you should eat less or no peppers, mustard, raw onions, raw garlic, wine and alcoholic beverages.

12. Topical medications. You can use thimerosal ointment, the formula of which is 2 grams of thimerosalic acid and 5 grams of sulfur. Or use chloramphenicol tincture, the formula is 1 gram of chloramphenicol, 3 grams of salicylic acid, 5 ml of glycerin, and 75% alcohol added to 100 ml.

13. If necessary, oral medications can be added for auxiliary treatment, such as vitamin B6 10 mg, 3 times a day, thyroxine tablets 0.03-0.06 g, 1-2 times a day.

14. Washing your hair with salt can treat excessive dandruff and hair loss, and can also promote hair growth after massage.

1 5. Wash your hair with aged vinegar solution: Take 150 ml of aged vinegar, add 1 kg of warm water and stir thoroughly. Using this water to wash your hair once a day can remove dandruff and relieve itching. It also helps prevent hair loss and reduce split ends.

16. You can also use beer to wash your hair: first wet your hair with beer, rinse it with water after 15 minutes, and then wash it with shampoo. Take twice a day, 3 days as a course of treatment. After two or three courses of treatment, dandruff will be significantly reduced.

17. Massage therapy: Massage can improve blood circulation in the head, restore metabolism to normal, and at the same time enable the accessory organs of the scalp to function normally, gradually reducing dandruff and achieving the purpose of healing.
