Huopu Xialing Decoction

Then use sweet almonds to open up and vent the deficiency of lung qi, so that the lung qi can be descended, and the water channels can be regulated; coix seed, Poria cocos, Alisma orientalis, and coix seed can penetrate and clear away heat and dampness from below, so that the water channels can be unobstructed and the dampness can go away.

Pathological Treatment of Huopu Xialing Decoction

The onset of summer heat evil has a significant periodicity, and it mainly occurs after the Lesser Heat and before the Cold Dew. For example, it is often said in "Suwen·Treatise on Heat": "Those who fall ill before the summer solstice suffer from fever, and those who fall ill after the summer solstice suffer from heat disease." Because the summer climate is very hot, the heat evaporates and moisture moves, which increases the humidity in the air. Therefore, summer evil disease often brings with it dampness to invade the body. Its clinical medical characteristics, in addition to summer-heat symptoms such as fever, thirst and loss of appetite, are often accompanied by dampness obstruction symptoms such as fatigue in the limbs, chest tightness, shortness of breath, nausea, and uncomfortable defecation and diarrhea. There are three methods in traditional Chinese medicine to treat dampness, namely, using aromatic herbs to transform dampness, using bitter and warm herbs to transform dampness, and using light herbs to clear heat and remove dampness. Huo Pu Xia Ling Tang combines three methods of treating dampness into one prescription. It can clear the internal organs and relieve constipation. It can be said to be a wonderful prescription for treating dampness. Mr. Shen is precise in dialectics and ethereal in the use of drugs. He dares to use light doses before the patient becomes critically ill, and uses fragrant and pungent dispersing drugs. Zhuo Xuanjin's Huo Pu Xia Ling Decoction, which treats dampness and turbidity in the exterior, adds Scutellaria baicalensis and Gardenia jasminoides to clear away heat and remove fire. It can clear away heat and dampness as well as heat and detoxify, and can open up the upper part, unblock the middle part, and seep down. Zhuo Xuanjin's description of dampness and turbidity is just as Shi Funan said: "When the dampness is gone, the qi is unblocked, the body fluids are distributed outside, and of course the sweating will stop."

Abdominal bloating

After taking 7 doses of the above medicine, the abdominal distension was greatly reduced, bowel movements were once or twice a day, and the thick and greasy tongue coating had gradually disappeared. If the medicine is effective after the second visit, do not change the prescription. Remove the aconite root and add 12g of roasted inner gold, 12g each of stir-fried barley maltose, and 12g each of scorched hawthorn fruit. After taking the medicine, the dampness and cold will be eliminated and all symptoms will be relieved. He continued to take medicine to strengthen the spleen and stomach and recovered.
