Causes of recurrent lochia after childbirth

Causes of recurrent lochia after childbirth

Lochia is the blood stasis and various secretions discharged from the body of a woman after giving birth. Normally, the lochia will be discharged about three weeks after delivery. However, since each person's physical constitution and postpartum conditioning are different, the specific time for each woman to discharge lochia varies from person to person. But if the lochia lasts too long or appears again a few days after it has ended, the woman should pay attention. So what to do if lochia recurs after delivery? Let's share with you below.

Steps/Methods:

1. The recurrence of lochia after delivery is related to the living habits of the mother. Some mothers may be busy taking care of the baby and do not pay attention to rest. In addition, many babies have to get up in the middle of the night to feed, and they may catch a cold. Therefore, to improve the recurrence of lochia after delivery, you must first pay attention to rest. It is best to rest in bed, keep warm and avoid catching cold.

2 In most cases, postpartum lochia retention is caused by Qi deficiency. The following dietary therapy can be used to improve the condition: 30 grams of herb, 10 eggs, and 30 grams of brown sugar. Boil the herb in water, remove the residue, and then use the filtrate, brown sugar and eggs to cook until the eggs are cooked. Eat 2-3 eggs a day and you can make more after you finish eating.

3. If the above methods are used but the disease still recurs, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up, find out the cause, and then take medication for treatment. Compared with Western medicine, Chinese medicine is more inclined to Western medicine. Western medicine generally relieves symptoms, but Chinese medicine treats the root of the human body, which can not only treat diseases but also regulate the body.

Note:

At the same time, it is recommended that mothers eat a light and easily digestible diet, avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, greasy, and indigestible foods, and eat more fresh vegetables. If you have qi deficiency, you can eat some chicken soup, longan soup, etc. If your blood is hot, eat some fruits such as pears, oranges, and watermelons.
